So it supports 5G but it’s not available yet?
    “Zero is a percent”

    • -2

Sorry for the confusion, not all plans on 5G

  • +1

OP states used Telstra’s 5G, website states no 5G. Boost is a much better option. You would also not have 4G+ with these guys

    • -3

Thanks for your feedback, but what is 4G+?

      • +2

4GX, 4.5G many names. It's their advanced coverage network for non-5G areas (improving both signal and speed). Shouldn't you be trained in this as a rep? I'm gathering Konec is another wholesale network customer, therefore won't have this access. In other words you can only access part of the 4G network, unlike Telstra or Boost

        • -3

If you mean 4gx, wholesale customers do have access to it

          • +3

@Auditech: Thats BS. No company outside Telstra or Boost (owned by Telstra) has access. Some wholesale customers can get access to 3G, 4G and 5G, but 4G+, next G, 4GX is not an option (hence there is no tier 1 provider (or Telstra owned)). Konec isn't paying for 5G access (or isn't being offered at the moment from Telstra to Konec), so they can only access 4G or 3G.

The easiest way to tell you are again misleading people with false claims is to compare the Telstra (1st tier) coverage map to the Wholesale coverage map. There is a massive difference. Stop BS'ing the community for sales

            • -3

@Froot Loops: I think what you said is misleading.

Telstra doesn't have 4G+. It's a marketing name of Vodafone or Optus for their 4G network, just like the 4GX for Telstra's b28. and MVNO customers do have access to 4GX. and I never said MVNOs have the same coverages.

Konec does have 5G access. https://www.konec.com.au/plans?id=42913681539303

              • +2

@Auditech: It's not misleading at all. Your main deal doesn't include 5G, you are making claims of things that may happen in the future (like esim) and if you go to Konex website it clearly states "Konec Mobile utilises parts of Telstra’s 5G, 4G, and 3G mobile network" (the part being no 4GX)

You should educate yourself on the product you are selling before making false claims here. You also cannot claim you get one part of 4GX, but not another. You either get 4GX or you don't. Again, read what 4GX is and you'll see its about increased speed and coverage. I have also emailed Telstra as I'm sure some poor bugger that purchased this sim pack not knowing your claims are BS.

                • -1

@Froot Loops: I think you got your panties in a twist mate…. settle down lol.
I think you have a miscommunication thing going on here. Read your comment and their's again, slowly.

                  • +2

@teddiebear: What's there to misunderstand. He gone from claiming his sims have 4GX (AKA 4G+), to claiming it's a marketing ploy from Telstra, to again that his sims have 4GX. The issue is they don't have 4GX (only 4G), which is great, unless you live in rural areas where only 4GX is offered. If someone buys his crap (not to mention he started claiming it was a 5G Telstra sim) in a rural area, they open the pack to activate, they will have no 4G signal at all, as Telstra has removed many non-4GX towers. Then on top of that, there is no ability to return or refund. I'm sure this would be fine in the city (still not a deal over boost), but its misleading to claim if offers a service that isn't included.

4GX not only about improved connectivity (vial in rural areas that have only 4GX towers), but gives you access to a premium network with high speeds.

All I have requested is that he be honest about his product, and if he is and it's a good deal, he will sell sims no issue. This isn't happening and people will get screwed as a result

  • +4

You say you welcome suggestions well lower-end data allowances (like 60GB) on 365 day plan SIMs’d be good if competitive with other providers ie Catch and Amaysim

    • Thanks for the feedback.

  • +3

Telstra wholesale network so not full Telstra like Boost is

  • +2

Does not include free calls to international numbers like Boost does. No deal for me.

    • +1

      Thanks for the feedback.

  • +2

unfortunately sounds like an expensive spelling mistake

    • -2

Lol, you can check the revision of this post, there is no misspell. I just removed athe introduction of the company, which might cause the confusion.

  • +2

Not even full 4g plus if it's up to 100mbps

    • -1

Same for Woolworths, and other MVNOs

      • +1

Again, this is BS. Other providers offer international calls and 5G access, which your main deal doesn't. You have already lied about 5G access, then about 4GX access and now you are lying that your product is the same as other MVNOs. This seller needs to be banned

        • The revision of the post is public to verify if I lied or not. Maybe you should elaborate why 100mbps for Woolworths and other MVNOs is a BS

          • @Auditech: You have lied multiple times in this listing and tried to mislead customers, not to mention dragged Telstra's name though the mud. I'm sure someone will be in contact from Telstra / Konec, as stated in your false claims about.

Also, you been in business for 2 decades. How do you not know the rules around false advertising. Revision to a title, doesn't give you to right to keep lying in the advert or making false / slanderous claims. My issue is you have lied multiple times on what is included and that is more than enough to get Telstra involved.

I hope you gain some morals in business and I'm sure people will be pissed off that you purchased this under false advertising as there is no 4GX, as you have clearly stated that the phone contracts come with this. I said nothing about speeds, I called you out for what you are. I'm sure the other user that wrote the claim speed may wish to fill you in, but I don't recommend it as it's like talking to a brick wall with this OP

Edit: Just represent your product for what it is and if it is value it will sell. Don't BS people with false claims of 4GX etc

  • +2

    Better buy Boost/Telstra.

  • +6

Not enough of a price difference with boost considering the above.

  • What happens if you go bankrupt before the 365 days is up?

    • You'll get ~3 days' notice to move to another network or risk losing your number. I still when Kogan Mobile V.1 got the boot from Telstra. I wasn't impressed losing a few weeks credit, let alone someone that could lose months. Telstra takes no responsibility to customers using NMVOs.

  • +4

Konec have their first Google review and i believe it's from here 💀💀

Their seller / partner auditech.com.au is constantly lying about the mobile products they offer, falsely claiming the 365 prepaid plan has 5G, which it doesn't, then 4GX, which is doesn't, then it the same as any other Telstra MVNO, which is also a lie. I will be contacting Telstra to advise them of this behaviour as they as using Telstra names, while making these false claims. I strongly suggest buyer go with Boost (owned by Telstra), which has the full service, better value and much better added options

    • (owned by Telstra)

      Not true FYI.

  • +2

    Not a deal. Buy boost

  • +3

Jesus christ these comments are brutal.

    • +4

What's brutal is many regional / rural users only get 4GX now (like myself), which means when the user tries to activates, they won't be able to. Konec also has a zero-return policy for open products or the user is stuck with it. I just think it's messed up that someone would screw over regional people (~1,000,000 Aussies are in this board) to make a quick buck. Oh well, I hope none of our community gets screwed over

      • +1

Good job keeping these pricks honest, I'm sick of this place slowly degrading into a free advertising platform 👍🏻👍🏻

  • +1

Plenty of Boost 240gb Sims on eBay for under $250.

    • Better coverage (full Telstra network)
    • 5G, VOLTE and VOWIFI already
    • VOWIFI apparently works OS (outgoing calls apparently limited to Oz numbers)
    • No speed caps

I can't see any reason why you'd go this over Boost.
