    TN, that’s a hard pass

I will mention that in title. Thanks

Where do they keep finding these damn TN panels, surely by now they're not still manufacturing them

The real issue here is that this model is 5 years old. If it was maybe 2-3 years old, I would have recommended it for those who want a QHD competitive experience.

But this wouldn't be a smooth motion experience compared to modern IPS, and then you've got high quality QHD VA 240Hz rapidly approaching $600, with 1080p 360Hz TN and QHD 240HZ OLED not far away.

given the samsung G5 qhd 165hz IPS was $299, and NZXT QHD 165hz IPS was $275 recently, this is not a very good deal.

      • Both are arguably crappier than this for gaming.

The issue is that this should be the standard price for QHD 144-170Hz now, but this model is ancient.

Bring on a Dell IPS deal - you there Dell associate?

  • I have this and the TN is rubbish
I have 3 mismatching displays because I couldn't bring myself to buy 2 more TNs haha

  • No idea if it's good, but I found a 27" QHD IPS 1ms 144Hz, for $309 at MSY: https://www.msy.com.au/online/monitors/4815-philips-27-275m8…
