      So no idea if I'll be in the first 2000? No thanks. At least Shopback lets you know whether its active or not. Not up for a bait and switch.

        Cos 3% isn't enough incentive to buy a gc for a specific store unless you have something to purchase from that store right away. It used to 5% bonus

    Is it really worth a 3% cashback when the gift cards lock you in to specific stores and deals almost always exclude gift cards?

      For me it is, I buy a lot on eBay and cannot get the usual instore/rewards points eBay GCs. I have on occasion bought them for the flat 3% cashback with no bonus.

      Definitely worth for Amazon, and it's actually 5% as they already have 2% cashback. Amazon gift cards don't affect cashback if that's what you're referring to.

      I'm passing this time though as I'll wait for the Aldi deal.

        Even 5% seems paltry for your time, effort, risk, being locked into one brand, lack of interest accumulating, etc. Probably be better off investing the money rofl.

        …. But it's not 5%, it's three. You get the 2% even if you don't do this silly scheme.

          The total cashback from buying the gift card is 5%, that's what I meant. I know I'll end up spending the gift cards soon enough (have spent thousands on Amazon over the last few years), so they're worth for me. Hardly any time/effort/risk involved tbh.

    These companies have room for >15% (10% for us, >5% for SB) easily so why being stingy considering their prices are overinflated by more than 200%. Sometime as high as 300% or more their purchase price.
