Been a while since this was first posted but just writing to let everyone know that the education store does indeed have the same prices. No one confirmed it although it does look like several people suspected it would be the case.
For university graduates, see whether your university gives you some kind of alumni email. I know UNSW does. That should allow you to be eligible.

Open the Westpac app then go Profile > Rewards and Offers. It should be under there.
They stuffed up last year and had both promos going at once. A few of us managed to take advantage of it.

And if it does happen, it's covered under warranty.
Actually it's not always covered. A couple of my friends were knocked back for their flip 3. They called it "physical" damage and asked for about $600
@abs898: My wife replaced her own screen protector without a problem on her flip 3. She probably voided the warranty though.
Samsung have get the run around saying they need to send her phone away to have the original one for free.
All other Samsung authorised repairers didn't have stock of the screen protector.

my 11 and half month old Flip3's protector got bad "bubbles" too. Got it fixed yesterday @ Tecworks Rouse Hill - free & on the spot (30min). Awesome service! This has also extended the Flip3 protector warranty by another 12M.

Not sure how this is a deal when, only 9 days ago, there was a promo running for a trade-in value of $625 which they added another $700 on top of that which brought the price down to $1174.
I would hold out for Black Friday sales at this rate since they're around the corner.

I logged on to trade-up a Fold3 for $625 and get the $700 discount on Nov 1st and the deal was listed on the site still, but referenced it would end on 1/11/2022.
I got onto live chat and they said it had expired at midnight, but there's usually sales or promos every 1-2 months.
They do this extra $700 thing on top of trade-ups usually at the pre-order stage (which has been and gone) but I'm hoping they do something similar for Black Friday.
Can't condone spending $1800 on a phone!
For the Fold4, it's $750 off for the 256GB model and $810 off for the 512GB model. Both are better than the $700 trade-in bonus, and you could sell the old phone for a bit more elsewhere.
@InfamousCalf where are you getting those numbers from? Is that specific to the EDU or EPP offering?
I've never seen anything above $625 offered for trading in an existing phone and the bonus promo was always $700.
The $700 I was referring to was specifically on a promo and it was a separate thing to the trade-in value.
So, it was a combined total of $1325 off the RRP of the Fold4 which brought down the total amount owed to $1374 for the 512gb and $1174 for the 25gb variant.
I've yet to see anything beat that and I'd be surprised if an EDU or EPP portal could, since you can't stack those promotions as far as I know.
I'm comparing the 30% deal here vs the RRP with trade-in bonus. With the 256GB model (RRP $2499):
Pay 30% off = $1749.30 ($749.70 off)
Sell your Fold3 on eBay = $800
Total savings off RRP = $1549.7
vs.
Pay RRP = $2499
Trade-in a Fold3 = $625
Trade-in bonus $700
Total savings off RRP = $1325
The $625 on Edu and EPP stores was the estimated trade in value based on a good condition Fold 3. It was mentioned in a foot note and there was no $700 bonus on top of that, as prices on Edu and EPP stores were already discounted by 20%. The $700 trade in bonus was only available on normal Samsung online store where prices were higher RRP. I confirmed that via chat as I was looking to buy.
Only better if they offer the trade in bonus too on top of trade in value, otherwise may be better going to normal samsung site and getting the bonus + loyalty and newsletter code.

There's a decent list of "common issues" but I don't think I've seen that before.
When you say "back glass" are you referring to the display on the outside? Or are you literally talking about the back of the phone (which I didn't think ever had glass)?
I'm going to assume it's a battery issue.
There's been a lot of reports of Samsung phone batteries expanding over time and bulging out the back. If this is the case, you should dispose of it safely and definitely discontinue from using it as it may explode suddenly.

Not sure. Last year, the Edu store was doing 35% off instead, plus a couple stores were doing Flip3 starting at $999, which is ~33%…

there has just been a post here on OZB about the ultra 22 256GB being $1477 at office works. I'm looking at an ultra 512 so hoping that we will see it in the 1500-1600 range based on the level of discount for the 256GB version…..
