I also tried to use the $30 off $50 order and was advised the same by support. I've since followed up and although my order was over $50 they stopped responding and haven't processed the discount - a very frustrating experience.
Uber are absolute pricks. I wouldn't let something like that go, i'd be hounding them until the discount got applied.
I've found that account specific unique codes don't work for me during checkout when entered manually.
I have go to Account -> Promotions -> press the Add promo button next to the offer. After doing that it then automatically applies during checkout.
Yeh sadly there was no code for this one, nothing in the promotions tab or anything like that so couldn't apply anything, their support has got worse but this one took the cake sadly considering the promotion should have been applied before the restaurant said they didn't have one of the items.
It's a good deal when it works as intended though!
Did you click the claim button on the banner? I noticed it wasn't auto deducting then realised I had to click claim first, then browse.
Yeh I clicked on the banner where it said "Claim your perk now" which then opened up a list of the nearby Grocery stores where the perk was eligible to be used each with a little "UBER PASS PERKS AVAILABLE NOW" icon on them. I took screenshots and a video as I went through the process step by step haha. I'm not so annoyed that the perk didn't auto apply, these things happen sometimes, more so annoyed I placed the order after confirming with support to go ahead and then they turned around and stiffed me!
I understand why you would be annoyed. I was just curious the process you took because I did something silmar, clicked through and could see eligible stores but not wsnt applying. Then realised I had to actually click claim first.
I do not like UE from bad experience in the past but I had several $20 off $30 spend grocery promo recently from them and didn't have any issues. The discount was done at checkout. The delivery was also on time.

I have a $15 off $20 grocery deals offer but only applicable on delivery orders; even with Uber pass delivery comes in around $6-8 before service fees which pretty much kills the deal.

I had a spend $50 get $30 back grocery offer. Placed a preorder on the last day before expiry. The pre auth was for $21. Luckily the next morning when payment was attempted it failed as I was using a prepaid Coles Gift Mastercard with only a small balance. The charge was showing the full amount of $51. I raised a support case and got the $30 credited to my account.
I am on the boat now, they really sxck on these promos, discount applied at the checkout but charged the full price on the scheduled date
Just beware: Had a similar offer last week, $30 off a $50 order. Clicked the banner and it went through to a list of grocery stores showing the Uber Pass Perks banner or whatever it was. But the promotion would not apply to any cart. Contacted support who confirmed I'm eligible, and to just place the order and they would refund the $30. So I placed an order for $51, contacted them, then the store then had an out of stock item dropping the order to $49 and support refused to refund the $30 based on that. Was soooo good!
