Both the Dual Screen and Power Combo have dropped even lower than my recent post

Thanks to skido for the coupon code tips including link to Qantas Frequent Flyer for some points.

There's also a 4.5% increased cashback via Shopback (drops to 2.4% after 10/11/22 at 11.59pm AEDT) or 5% at Cashrewards (thanks mr3v0), but it may not stack since the code is not listed by Shopback / Cashrewards. The cashback is probably worth ~$12 on the Dual Screen combo, ~$8 on the power combo.

Slightly more expensive price at Georges linked below too (thanks GermanKangaroo for the tips). Also, seems like Amazon has price matched the Dual Screen Combo at the last minute (thanks Tohnio).

If you purchased recently in Amazon, I just tried to ask refund on the price difference and they were happy to fulfill it for me. I did not ask for the further $10 difference using WESTPAC10 though as I didn't know about the code earlier.

      How long can you record with internal memory (22gb) ON 1080p? i am assuming you are mostly recording at 60p?
      I am also interested at running it at 1080p30/60 mostly

            @finger: I’ve used it when diving, hiking and 4wd and have found it to be very good on just the “steady” setting. It has a “rocksteady” setting which I haven’t used but saw a few clips on YouTube and looks mint.

    Spewing that I paid $377 yesterday for the touch screen one at Catch, can only get store credit if I try returning. Congrats to all getting this bargain price! I did a lot of research and this looks like a good alternative to a GoPro 8/9 once you register for the free heat-reducing case!

      i paid 380$ for the dual battery combo half year ago, rip.
      now that i wish i had gone for the gopro, all in one unit just doesn't need so much care. I have to tape around the usbC port all the time otherwise sand or metal shavings would get in there.

      Initially I convinced myself to get screen combo but decided to swap to the power combo. I'm not vlogging so most of the time camera will be pointing out. Even if you are, the camera has a really wide focal range (equivalent to ~16mm) so its not very hard to frame yourself inside the shot. I thought the extra battery life in power combo is probably worth more to me and I'll save the $100 for something else.

        @John thanks. I was keen on saving that extra $100 and stick to power combo. But then I realized power combo does NOT come with 'Magnetic Ball-Joint Adapter Mount' which feels like an important one. Getting that seperately gets you closer to dual screen price.

    Hardware of this piece of technology is amazing. Compared to popular GoPro 10, the sensor is larger and megapixel count is lower (hence better in low light). Plus overall stabilisation is better as well (as per most of the reviews out there). Main negative being overheating if you do 4K at 120 but with less resolutions it's not a problem. With the battery pack (still smaller and lighter than GoPro) this can record way more than GoPro 10 can. You could easily put it in your pocket (GoPro too but a bit bulkier). I think overall with just one issue (overheating at 4k), this is an absolutely amazing action camera even at full price.. It's a no brainer at this price point. I purchased with confidence.

    Does this have the same electronic shielding issues as the Osmo? I have the Osmo and while it is excellent bang-for-buck it is all but unusable on my bike anywhere near the GPS/cycling computer mounted on my bars as it completely interferes with the GPS and the wifi is not able to be turned off in firmware.

    This isn't an issue exclusive to DJI. But it renders some devices completely unworkable as bikecams up near a cycling computer.

    Thanks OP and other contributors. Wife and I were looking at one of these for our upcoming trip to Europe and I was keeping an eye on the sales and almost pulled the trigger on the power combo at $359 posted earlier in the month but figured that was the new low and had some other stuff to buy that week so it could wait. But glad I caught this post and didn’t miss out as at ~$200 this is an awesome deal! I only quickly looked at the links and not sure if OOS or the deals expired but George’s seemed to be the only one looking right and even with $10 postage, in my mind I’ve saved $150 at this point!

    Can these be used as a dash cam camera for car. The video clarity is way superior than my dashcam. Is there a power cable for the car so that it turns on or off automatically depending on whether your car is on?

      It can.. with some effort, it wont turn on/off automatically like you said. To me it will be a huge hassle. Just buy viofo dashcam or something.

      They wouldn’t price match even when the price point was at $366.40 couple days ago. But worth asking again since now a lot of shops are basically at the same price point now.

      I think you can charge while recording but looks like you will need another accessory for that. Though I wonder if that will only make the overheating problem worst.

          Forget the stores. Always do price matching on live chat ASAP a price comes out. You might have more luck trying it now even and just bombard them with all the retailer links for a price match.

      Thanks for letting us know. I managed to get JB to price match and they gave me magnetic case for free too. Ordered from Digidirect yesterday and they charged me $599 for power combo. Raised case with Paypal and spent almost an hour with Digiddirect on the phone this morning trying to cancel my order. Still hasn't been canceled from their end.

    Amazon is now selling at $284.05 and only 1 is left in stock. I didn't order from Amazon because some buyers are complaining in the reviews that this doesn't come with the magnetic protective case (the last review on missing case is as recent as 4/11/2022).

    I am pretty undecided whether to buy this or Insta360, concerned by its heating issue or whether there are going to be discount on the DJI Action 3 camera during Black Friday. But I finally made an order with digiDirect.

      I ordered yesterday from Amazon and got it yesterday (Same Day Delivery with Prime). No magnetic case included and DJI live chat didn't care and just told me to contact Amazon. Amazon only accept a return of the whole thing, and don't offer to include the case after purchase.

      I contacted DJI (they will ask you for the SN number and Amazon receipt), and they sent me the code to order the case for free on their website. But it took one month to deliver.

    Bought from amazon and it did not come with magnetic case. Lodged a ticket with DJI and here is the response:

    "We are very sorry to let you know that a free Magnetic Protective Case activity has been terminated from October 17, 2022. we found that your Action 2 was newly purchased, it is recommended that you contact your reseller for the magnetic protective case. Thanks for your understanding."

    "If they cannot help, please reach back to us timely, we will further advise."
