Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 256GB + Z Flip4 128GB + Two Galaxy Buds2 for $2519.20 Shipped @ Samsung Education Portal

800

Purchase combinations of Galaxy Z and Galaxy accessories and you can reach 44%/36% discount from base price for phone and accessories. Therefore, with max discount the individual prices comes down to:

Fold4: $1399.44
Flip4: $839.44
Buds2: $140.16
Buds2 Pro: $223.36
Buds Live: $159.36

Doesn't stack with multiple phones, so you can't do Flip4 x4 for 839.44 each, but you can buy multiple discounted phones providing you have the items to enable the discount.

Combinations that may be of interest:
Fold4/Flip4/x2 Buds2 for 1399.44 + 839.44 + 140.16 + 140.16 = $2519.20
Flip4/x3 Buds2 for 839.44 + 140.16*3 = $1259.92

If you can sell the buds2 for the price you've paid for (140), this leaves you with easily the cheapest Flip4/Fold4 ($1399.44/$839.44) I've seen.

  • Why you have to buy that many? Is it a minimum amount you have to spend to get a certain discount?

    • Ya bundle and save promotion

    • 10% if you buy two eligible products. 15% for 3. 20% for 4.

That's after the existing 30% off.

ill never buy another Samsung product after the treatment I've received on a $5000 lemon fridge over the past 2 weeks they do anything to try to cover themselves I'm currently having to talk to the dept of fair trading and the ombudsmen

    • Can I ask what model samsung fridge you bought? I just got myself srf9300h model. Is it the ice maker issue?

      • +4

one of the family hub ones with the draws all the doors are peeling having major problems with the ice machine and water dispenser leaking and damaging all my cabinets Samsung is saying its a minor manufacturing defect thus not having to refund/replace the item I've had it since June last year and this will be the 5th repair I keep saying its a lemon/unfit for purpose but im seriously getting nowhere with them the house is full of samsung tech but when it comes to replace it all ill be going elsewhere after the way im being treated

@ruthlesskid: Punctuation makes a world of difference. Let me help bob98 with a few tweaks:

Take it back to the shop.. get a refund

          Samsung appliances suck

          • @hippyhippy: Samsung Tv, Hard drives and phones are good.
Don’t buy their appliance, it is not their speciality.

    • The actual Samsung warranty department? Thought they're pretty good. Swapped a few SD cards and SSD without much hassle. (Retailer might be a different story)

      • +4

direct through Samsung sadly might be better with cheaper items but the 5k fridge is causing me extreme stress with them at the moment

        • +3

I have just received a full refund on a crappy Samsung Fridge. Five times repairing the ice maker. I couldn’t fault their service and the refund was seamless.

        • +1

That's because you are not using any commas and full stops so Samsung are struggling to understand you. On a serious note, I had a similar issue with activating my Samsung Care Plus warranty with them, which I legitimately purchased as part of a preorder promotion with a recent Samsung smartphone. The amount of crap I went through with them and still not having it activated 6 months on is beyond a joke. Samsung customer experience is very poor here in Australia. It turns me off buying their products.

    • 0BJJ43AR400030R model number if you'd like to have a look

    • +3

I had a similar situation on my Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra.
I loved that phone. But it stopped working after 6 months. That's fine, took to their services for the warranty, and guess what: they had no ETA on when they would be able to fix. They couldn't even give me how many weeks. They said there was nothing they could do, because they didn't have the proper chips or whatever to fix it. And that would come from overseas in god knows how much time. So I asked if they could give me a new phone then. Nope. Money back, nope.
So, I ended up reaching out to dept of fair trading as well, and they took care of it. Samsung ended up giving me my money back. I got the money, purchased an iPhone and slowly moved my whole family out of samsung to apple. I'm happy as now.

      • +1

Just FYI, the grass isn't necessarily greener :( I've had a friend with obvious antenna issues on their new iPhone from Optus. Both Apple and optus keep avoiding responsibility and claiming there's nothing wrong when there clearly is. The difference is Apple will tell you to just buy another Iphone 🤡

Best option is just to buy from a retailer with good refunds policies and return to them. Perhaps appliances online for appliances and jb for tech?

    • +6

      Never buy Samsung white goods.

      • -3

        Black goods are okay?

    • Your warranty is with the retailer, what did they say?

    • I bought one of their cheaper fridges ($1000) bout six months ago and it's starting to make a weird ticking noise already.

    • +2

I went through the same process with Z Fold 2. Screen broke right down the middle where the screen folds. Samsung said I broke it and need to pay for a repair.

Incase it interests you, I went through a whole process talking to:

      Samsung Regional Operations Manager
      Samsung's third party repairer
      Office of Fair Trading
then eventually took it to QCAT Mediation.

QCAT found in favour of me and ordered Samsung to refund me.

It was a huge effort but it was the principal for me. Big company trying to pushover the little guy.

      • How long did that all take?
How much effort? Do you have to attend tribunal?

        • +1

Quote alot of effort. Lots of documentation i gathered. Id say 10 hrs of work? Worth it for a $2400 refund.

          Attended mediation via phone.

          Took 4 months I think

    • The only Samsung product I have bought is a phone and nothing else. Their products are more bling bling over quality.

    • If you manage to get a refund, buy a Mitsubishi fridge. Wayyy better quality even if it doesn't have the shiny new smart features

    • Same my S21 ultra phone loses internet connection after 5 minutes of usage / google maps i.e. when phone is a bit warm. Online and phone support where useless. I went into Samsung shop in West of Melb and they told me to visit Samsung east of Melb 45 minutes drive away for them to have a tech to look at it. 5 days it takes too. wtf this service

    • -2

5k sounds extreme for a fridge, mine was $100 and works fine

  • +2

How much discount for the entire stock?

  • +2

can just buy the same thing with different colours will also work.

  • +2

You can't stack the same model but you CAN stack different model of the same phone, including colour and storage size.

You'll see max bundle discount getting applied for adding 4 different colour option in the cart.

    • so can get 4x zfold4 different colours? hmm okay will check later how much each ending up

  • I can't get an edu email :(
Is that possible primary student get an email address? ;)

    • +1

My daughter has a primary school email. Tried to sign her up but it said she’s too young. I had to use my son’s email who’s in highschool.

    • +2

It is because of seeing things like this that I do not own, or ever will own any Samsung product.

I just don't understand their behavior, very quick way to trash a reputation.

      • I still bought a new Samsung tv recently (through Appliance Central) because after burning in an old OLED I'm not comfortable getting another for me a PC monitor. If there was an equivalent with not-awful customer service though I'd buy that in a heartbeat.

        • I got a TV and a vacuum from the edu store. No issues at all.

    • +1

In my experience they're really poor at post order services, like you can't even update phone number for the order you've just placed via chat support.

Similarly you can't ask them to cancel the delivery prior to dispatch, it must be returned & refunded like a week or two after that.

But if you don't have any support need then the shipping is fast & price is always minimum 10-15% cheaper than JB across everything.

      • -1

My shipping was absolutely not fast. Tv was quoted at 1 week delivery and actually took a month plus before they got their s*** together to attempt, when the courier called me to set the actual delivery date

  • +1

Interesting I can stack the same though and get the fold for cheap… https://imgur.com/VqyAcFV

    • Yes it's 30 bucks cheaper. Nice!

    • From gov logon the fold 4 is $1399?

  • Dang man if only I had 4 ears

  • Samsung is that desperate….

  • +2

Why are people talking about white goods and warranty in a thread about phone deals?

    • because they all made by sammyboi

    • Is it so hard to get that they are all Samsung made?

      • A fridge has nothing to do with a phone, there is no overlap with anything to do with the experience.

        • Customer service is what they're talking about, not white goods. Anything can be a lemon, be it phone or fridge. What's important is how the company handles it

          • +1

@Ibz: They dont even use the same customer service departments, processes or procedures.

            • +1

              @noise36: Yeah I'm on noise36's side here.
If you've ever worked in a company with completely different products like this, each department act autonomously from one another.

You will get a completely different experience from the white goods side of the business as you would to the phones.
Or possibly the same, if they're both shit.

Personally, I've had only good experiences with the phone side of things.
I just walk into my Samsung accredited repair shop and if I'm under warranty, I don't have any dramas with virtually anything I bring in.

I've got a Samsung fridge for a few years and, apart from a known defect with the ice maker (that requires me to constantly clear it out) , it's been fine.

            • @noise36: Fair enough, I wasn't aware the entry point was different. I have heard mixed reviews though on ozb of people having issues with their flip/fold screens and some would get super easy repairs whilst others would have to jump through hoops and wait weeks.

  • +1

huh from my employee benefit company portal i see different offer (not as good)
Purchase a Galaxy Z Fold4 with Galaxy Watches, Buds and Tab S8 range. Add 1 eligible product and get 10% off, add 2 eligible products and get 15% off or add 3 or more eligible products and get 20% off1.

    • It's the same offer

      • OP said 44%/36% discount ?? and this time dont bother with the trade in because there is no bonus for it, correct?

        • +1

It's 44% because of the flash 30% discount on Galaxy Z, which the 20% is stacked on top of it

          2499 * 0.8 * 0.7 = 1399.44

          No trade in needed

        • +1

Yeah same discount. There's a 30% off promo on the phones, plus 20% on top of that (the discount that you are talking about)… That's 44%.

        • +2

Z phones are already 30% discounted in EPP/Edu portals, so

Add 1 eligible product and get 37% off,
add 2 eligible products and get 40.5% off or
add 3 or more eligible products and get 44% off

  • +1

Keep in mind the Buds2 are on backorder so your phone won't be shipped until the Buds ship - which is November 21.

  • +3

Samsung's after-sales service is rubbish. My son bought a monitor from them which arrived damaged. Three weeks later we are still trying to return it for replacement. Unlike Dell they won't send a replacement until they receive the damaged one back.

  • @renlireb

If you can sell the buds2 for the price you've paid for (140), this leaves you with easily the cheapest Flip4/Fold4 ($1399.44/$839.44) I've seen.

you got it the other way around for flip flop prices

  • +8

    Cheeky hack.
Once you receive your multiple products DONT OPEN THE BOX and start a 14 days change of mind return process with ssung online. You will get full refund for all and FOLD 4 will cost you what ever the price it will show up on your invoice.
No need to go through hassle of selling product at low price in gumtree or marletplace.

    I had fold 4 and 3 buds2 @ 1674
just 2-3 weeks ago it was a different discount
I had phone cost discounted to 1182 (had 700 off for tradein bonus, 100 loyality discount, 50 new.sign up discount) and additional bundle discount. And buds 2 were discounted to 163 each

I sent back 3x buds 2 as change of mind and ended up phone @ 1182
With TRS phone will cost 1075

    Not bad.

Selling ss product outside is a big ask

    • hmm, very good!

    • How did you return the items ? Did you have to post it to them ? Is that extra cost or is it a paid return lable ?

      • +1

Post. Free. Within 14 days of receiving your items.

        • How long did it take for you to receive the postage label?

The live chat agent said 7-14 business day. Surely it doesn't take that long to email a postage label across.

          • @linkii: its their fault if you didnt get the label on time, as long you initiated the request well before the deadline. this is standard procedure.

          • @linkii: 1 day via email

      • They send u a prepaid retrurn label

    • Quick question, do you return the buds and get an invoice reprinted to claim TRS?

Or do you claim TRS over the full receipt (full amount before the buds are returned) ?

      • I am not sure. I also have to claim trs and assume i will only claim for the partial items taking abroad.. in this case ill only claim phone but leave the buds since i return.
Pls let me know once you find out
        Assuming from the main receipt.

    • Watch 5 44mm (Bluetooth) for $313.60 after adding fold 4,.flip 4 and buds2. Can i keep the watch and return the rest? :)

      • I am sure it is ok but personally i wont take a risk if due to any reason ssung decline to return.
If buying big ticket item like phone etc small items ok to return (personally did that)

        • In my case i wanna get Flip4, it's better to just throw in 3x buds2 rather than phones/watches for higher chance of returning?

    • Does Trade In extra 700$ apply in education portal?

    • U could stack Bonus trade-in credit and Bundle offer together? Somehow their online chat informed me these 2 offers can't be stacked together.

    • Big thank you for sharing this! I followed what u did and ended up getting Flip4 256GB $715.
($500 off for trade-in bonus, $100 loyalty voucher, $50 newsletter voucher, 20% off bundle discount)

    • Unable to return with the discounted price as Samsung says this is a bundle promotion, they will refund will less. Anyone else able to return?

  • -4

I never buy anything Samsung unless it’s SSD/M.2, Dram and SD card

    • +2

Lol did you mean to click the 'associated' check box?

      • exactly just like muzeeb and dell relationship

  • So eligible items are buds, watch and tab? Already have the tab.
Are the buds2 good? Or should I get the Pro?
Is the watch5 worth the extra over watch4?

  • Killer deal for the Fold and Flip, not as good a deal for the tablets.

  • This deal doesn't appear to be working anymore in EPP Samsung site, it was this morning.

    • Incorrect, can confirm it is still working as of 9.57pm AEST

What options did you select? Let us know we might be able to help

      • Thanks, I went back in and tried again, it is working, they must have updated something in the cart calculations, I had added an ineligible item (something random) in addition to eligible items and it removed the discount from all items in the cart.

  • +1

anyone know how long they take to get delivered?

    • +1

If in stock should be immediate (within a week)

  • Is it likely that a used S20 128gb can be sold? I don't know if i should trade in my device (only $210) or sell it.

  • Oh no… forgot 2.8% cashback :-(

Does cashback work for EPP portal?

    The cashback links to: www.samsung.com
while the EPP portal uses a different url address: shop.samsung.com/au/multistore/auepp

    • No i don't think so..

  • When the phone is worth $1 trade-in value on Samsung and I trade it in for the current $500 bonus credit. If, after the final assessment by Asurison, phone turns out to be $0 value, would Samsung ask me to pay back $500? Anyone knows?
To be eligible for the bonus $500 credit, the phone trade-in value must be greater than $0

    • Where are you seeing the bonus credit ?

      • On Samsung regular online store. Samsung EDU doesn't have it

  • anyone managed to add the Bonus Case to the shopping cart from the Education Store? I called Samsung to get them to verify and it is currently getting escalated "i hope".

    • No. added the bonus case, but then it increased the price by over $500 !

      • Thanks. yup, same experience with me.
