  • Has anyone seen this in NSW?

    • +38

I'm in NSW and I've seen this post…

      • That made me laugh 😃

    • Someone just posted a dupe for lidcombe store

  • Noice

  • amazing value - highly recommended.

  • How many were there?

  • Dang, wont be able to get to Costco tonight.

  • tv prices are falling

    • Great!

Supply chain issues are resolving faster than we thought

      • +1

I heard Samsung over estimated the market, produced too much phone, may be also TV.

        • The previous semiconductor shortage has become an over supply for many electronics companies now so the inflated electronics prices of recently may normalize.

      • +4

or inflation is hitting retail purchasing harder than we thought with less buyers

        • Inflation is killing retail purchasing. We’ve seen the low/mid end consumer purchases slow down a lot.

      • +1

More so because people realise Samsung's qled is a scam and couldn't compete with oled and samsung has to go back to the price it should be.

        • +1

They always price, LED, QLED, Full array QLED, Mini LED, OLED.

Just don't buy at full price, new release.

    Dang

Already bought a TCL 55’ yesterday

    • +1

Lol would this have made you buy a 75” Samsung instead?

      • I reckon

    • +1

Already bought a TCL 55’ yesterday

If you ever consider 75" why buy 55"?

      • Money issue I was tossing between 55'' and 65'' but missed out on the 65'' yesterday so had to stick with the 55'' but $1,300 for a 75'' Samsung is hard to past

        • +1

but $1,300 for a 75'' Samsung is hard to past

You should keep waiting $1300 for 75" like me instead of bought 55"

  • Epping all sold out
10 people Before me asking the same

    • Can conform, all soldout at Epping

  • Is this FALD?

    • No. Its EC

      • What is EC? Too many jargons

        • edge lit

          • @yikes914: Oh i see. Thanks. It's surprising that even when you get to a q70 level qled that it isn't at least direct lit. To me that's more q60 standards.

            • @fuzor:

that it isn't at least direct lit.

              Some said full array blooming.

    • No

  • Black Friday is today for costco

  • Damn paid 1500 for a 65" Samsung Frame. 😬

  • But I already have a TV

    • But I already have a TV

      I have 3 TVs XD

  • All sold out in Sydney

  • All gone in Perth

I saw people wheeling 2x 85” TVs out of Costco Casula.

Human greed knows no bounds - they were all one ethnicity.

    • it’s not like they had 10…. It’s hardly an item to flip either..

  • what's the difference between this and q70t?

    • a lot slimmer but that is about it, they haven't changed much in the last 2 years

  • +1

Do not use in a dark room. Severe white clouding in dark scenes with mine, Samsung don't care either

    • Yes, these are cheap TVs for the size, but they’re definitely nowhere close to the quality of a equivalent size Sony or LG TV

    • Severe white clouding in dark scenes with mine

My room not too dark and not too bright and I have no problem after tested with youtube clouding, blooming.

  • @tromdude what feed are you sourcing from?
I noticed mine until I fed from 4K sources, blacks are black.

    • Any source. It's the diffusion sheet not being totally flat and the fact it's 85". Smaller qleds wouldn't have the same problem

  • +1

Saw lots of people buying TVs last night, many large boxes pushed out of the warehouse and quite a few waiting to be collected.

    Must be some good deals.

  • Anyone know if Moorabbin Costco have any stock?

    • Thank you. I think im a day late. Deciding between lg and samsung now

      • +2

LG is the better tv. We've had far too many problems with the 75-inch and above Samsungs. we now only buy sony or LG and there much better.

        • +1

Thank you for your insight. LG does look good, deeper blacks too. Are Sony Bravia's still good? I used to work for Samsung and you're right.

          • +1

@jnathanc: dads got the x90j 85 inches. it's a brilliant display, I've plugged my Xbox series x in and it was quite impressive. when the price is right ill be purchasing either of these 2 though.

            https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/sony-x80k-75-bravia-led-4…

and since you worked for Samsung any trick for them to replace my fridge? they keep saying minor manufacturing defects but there definitely major. haha coming up to 5 repairs now in under 2 years.

            • @bob98: Lodge a VOC case and state ACL, be persistent. Let me know how you go. We never spoke haha

              • @jnathanc: thanks legend, Im already in talks with VOC and am going in loops. I've started stating some of the ACL now so let's hope for the best much appreciated.

                • @bob98: I think I jinxed myself. Bought an S22 Ultra for my dad for a gift two and a half months ago and noticed the camera lens has condensation upon setting it to today after I got all the Bits and Bob's. So have to pop in to a store tomorrow just to send it in and will probably have to go through VOC aswell… Ugh.
You'll go in loops but just be persistent.

                  • @jnathanc: I really do wish you luck mate. I hope there instore service is better than phone/online.

                    • @bob98: I just got off the phone chat over dinner and of course as expected, it's the same spiel as always, "guys will need to check it out ladida"… If it were Apple, we'd be sweet. Still love Android though.

Best of luck to you too, are you in Victoria by any chance? If you are the guy that works on the fridges and aircon units in the south east at the service plaza is a great guy.

            • @bob98: Which out of the two would you pick? I'm trying to figure out if 75 is enough or if 85 is the one? Living room is considered large, I have a couch 2 meters away and a couch 3-4 meters away

              • @jnathanc: I nearly bought the LG on click frenzy. but I hadn't seen sony at that point I haven't done enough research yet to make the choice. but my old boys sony 85 was quite impressive so currently leaning toward that one.

                • @bob98: Noted. I've just calculated that I can either be 3 meters away or 7m away, so I think 85 will be sweet

          • +1

People said LG IPS panel not good, dark scene blooming, so Sony is better if the price is right.

I bought the frame 2021 a few weeks ago, just because it is cheap. Without another TV next to it side by side, you don't really feel big difference. Tested with youtube blooming and dirty screen, I have no problem.

            • @superforever: I was looking at the frame 2022 and the refresh rate isn't good enough for gaming compared to the other TVs available. not sure if it was you but someone got the frame 75 2021 for 1200 or something the other week which seems like a great deal either way.

              • @bob98:

                Was me, $1288

It is similar to Q70B, it got HDMI 2.1 120hz

        • Yes, I’ve had a couple of friends with issues with Samsung in recent years with their TVs. Very happy with Sony but also LG seems to have a good reliability and screen quality.

Did they call Samsung to fix it? Years ago they came to replace the panel for my FHD TV.

  • 85 inch was $2799 today at Auburn (no voucher included). There were a few on the floor.

  • is the 75" deal still going?

    • If you can find stock

      • you mean they still have the $500 gifta card?

        • Since sold out everywhere so doesn't matter.

          • @superforever: well OP's pic said 11th only so I didn't bother going to costco the next day
