    Obligatory "thanks OP, bought X."

    X cannot be 0, 1, or negative.

      How about imaginary numbers?

      • Didn't even say it had to be a number. "Bought ∞."

      Thanks OP, bought 0.166667

    • Got a few for Kris Kringle pressies ;)

  • The HD800 will make for a good work secret santa gift, thanks OP.

Minidisc has a $10 coupon when joining their newsletter so that beats addicted to audio by another $9

      Negative for $1 difference. Brutal.
      Simple fyi would be better.

On an $1800 item too, lmao

        0.056% difference in price

        • Mate, you don't end up affording $1,800 headphones by not caring about 0.056%. I bet you had smashed avo for breakfast too.

  • Will my Delonghi bought Nespresso coffee machine provide sufficient amperage for these headphones?

Only if you clamp a pair of jumper cables to your nipples.

I like where this is going.

I've got 1000 eneloops ready to go

These are way overpriced imo, i wouldnt pay more than $1200 for these.

    • I agree , they milking the price for many, many years , its an old HP, unless you like comfort and soundstage above all, get other headphone for the price. (yes I own 800s)

      • What would you suggest as an alternative? I found the Arya’s comfort and build quality to be shite, and those massive egg cups get pretty hot. Focal and Audeze have a much more closed in sound at this price point.

After trying them I would have picked an EQ’d 800s honestly. Been waiting for 1499 again or something better to hit the market.

        • Koss portapros

    • If I already have the focal radiance, is it worth getting this?

  • Always thought those are are 1800$

  • There should be a deal like, trading your HD800 for the HD800s lol

  • Did a quick search and you can get the same price at https://addictedtoaudio.com.au/products/sennheiser-hd800s-au…

Seems like the street price of these things is more like $2100

  • For anyone considering a pair for these, may I suggest going to audition one first before you buy.

Its a great pair for cans, but is quite unique in the sound signature. I have a pair and I love it, but it's not my daily go to.

  • I love it, so comfortable.

  • I love mine… it's my daily driver.

  • I will not expose my golden ears to anything less than this quality of headphones - it is too painful.

  • At least it's cheaper than these cans lol

    • LOL their $400-$600 premium cables cost more than my entire pair of Bowers & Wilkins headphones. They even make Monster brand cables look cheap in comparison XD

I nearly fell off my chair when i saw these! And yet they aren't even noise cancelling….. i really can't make heads or tails as to where the value is in these. Sure…. they're not for gaming (you'd be braindead to buy them for gaming…. unless somebody wants to buy me a pair please??) But even as studio cans….. bloody hell lol
Not to mention the cables to go with it like you mentioned.
Can somebody please buy me a set?

    • +1

They're catered to a different market and use case. Noise cancelling never was and never will be a feature on audiophile headphones where sound quality is the focus. Same with them not being wireless. These are meant for critical listening and have a very unique sound signature. They're considered the most open with the widest sound stage. Head down to Addicted 2 Audio and ask for a demo. You will literally fall off your chair!

I thought it would be totally different to normal use, but far out…. the price and what you get for it lol. I wish i could go somewhere to give em a go but i live in a town called Bowraville, with a population of 2500 lol. Apparently, we're 2weeks away from everywhere lmao (town joke because even though we have a Major town/city (coffs Harbour) 45mins away, that's how long it takes for something to get here lmao
