Just saw on the Ebay home page that you can sign up for Ebay Plus with the first year free.
I saw the other deal for Ebay plus for just $5 was popular so i thought I would post this deal.
From the eBay homepage its one of the scrolling offers. I previoulsy accepted the new user discount, but could still redeem this. Not sure for how long this offer will run!

    Do you have a screenshot of the banner, i presume, of the offer? Were you using the ebay app or on browser when you noticed it?

            @RandomBob84: It isn't particularly well known, but OzBargain can be your host for images you want to appear on OzBargain.

            When logged into OzBargain, go to "My Account"->"Posts"->"Files" and you can upload images there (and PDFs as well). Then click on the icon, which will open in a new tab of your browser. Copy the link from the URL bar and paste it into the deal.

      I just went to www.ebay.com.au and was met with the big banner up top advertising the year of Plus for $4.99

      I have already done eBay Plus promos in the past too but haven't been a member of it for maybe a year.

      Nah. Need to log in via desktop site.

      Click on EBay Plus at the top. Scroll down to membership. Then cancel from there

      Yea it’s possible to see on the app ( i just did to confirm)

      Go to my eBay > eBay plus > scroll 3/4 way down to manage my membership > click “my account details”

      It’ll show when you were a member since and your next payment date. Can also edit membership from there i think.

    i received the email yesterday, signed up earlier today… paid with Credit Card with zero owing .. ebay sent the following email

      Had an online chat to an ebay rep today and apparently it's a known issue and ebay are attempting to fix it.

      For those who are facing this problem I suggest you hang tight for now, don't give in and pay the $4.99 - unless you really need that eb+ account right now for whatever reason.

    It wouldn't show as free for me. But i gave this the miss at the $4.99 it wanted. All the stuff i buy off ebay comes with free shipping any how so it's pointless for me. Now it would have been better if there was a video streaming service included like Amazon Prime does.

      It's honestly no faster either way, when my Plus was over for a couple months I bought from the same places and it arrived in the same time.

      The only benefit from the sub are the codes.
