Just got an email that Ebay plus is only 4.99 for the first year - Even though I've previously had it so doesnt look like its for new members only

        Mine also said "You have already tested eBay Plus for free. If you sign up now the membership fee is due immediately" - The message seemed very vague - was not sure if it mean't I would pay $4.99 for the first year OR $49.00.

        Anyway I went ahead and pressed "Sign up now" and can confirm it only Charged $4.99 for a year (received an email to that effect). Also received the voucher for $20.00.

      What do you mean make sure it’s 4.99 on next page when I click on link it you gave yes it says about the $20 voucher but on same first page it says $49 and below than a join now.

        My non-Plus eBay account still shows that I have accepted this offer, and is valid until 20/11/2022 11:59:59 PM. Not sure why this deal has been marked as expired.

        I also have a message from eBay today for the offer from this deal: A year of eBay Plus for $4.99.

        I am going to see if I can stack the above 2 offers along with this one.

        If anyone has tried this already, please let us know how did it all work out.

          Same, and also got the message for the $4.99 offer. I have a screenie showing end date 20 November (also shows in the email too apparently for the $80 voucher). However, I'm not seeing the offer under Selling promotions if it was there after accepting.

          Will still go for the multiple stack (including SB cashback), and call/email/message them if I don't receive the $80 voucher.

          Btw I think it was expired as it can no longer be activated.

        The $80 voucher is good if you have something to buy and its over $80
        However, there are a few cons on using voucher:

        • It can only used once-off, so you need to spend over $80 to use all the values
        • It has a short expiry and might not be easy for some to spend over $80
        • Using eBay voucher void any cashback (from CR / SB), unlike eBay GC where it is accepted for cashback

          Furthermore, you cannot use any other eBay coupon codes when using a voucher code.

          Same thing happended to me. Signed up with $0 offer, got $20 voucher on the screen straight away but didn't show up as Ebay plus member. Checked spam after reading your comment and it said. "Your transaction was declined. Check the payment method used when signing up to eBay Plus to find out what happened. Because we didn't receive your payment, we have cancelled your eBay Plus membership. You may sign up again at any time to regain access to your membership benefits."

          Scored the $20 voucher valid for 30 days, but unsure if Plus membership is worth the trouble dealing with customer service.

          I had this same scenario a few have mentioned (transaction declined, membership cancelled) but just for the hell of it I asked eBay in Chat Support and was told “the message that the membership is cancelled it is due to a temporary technical glitch so do not worry the subscription is showing as subscribed in your account according to our internal tools and hence it will be activated in your account too in next 48-72hrs”. So worth checking account in a few days anyone else who got the same ‘declined’ email.

        I used my recent email link too, The $20 link should be in the deal post I reckon. I feel like I missed out. I even reached out to customer support quick chat and said it’ll be escalated to 3-4 days, I dunno if I’ll be investigated and said no and potentially lose out on the 4.99 for a year deal if suspect of multiple accounts, this is my second account in my entire life.

      Did you select PayPal as the payment option? I did, got the email saying "you just joined" followed immediately by the email "your payment for eBay Plus was declined…we have cancelled your eBay Plus membership".

    Cancelled auto-renew after signing up, got offered a $30 voucher if I didn't cancel (wouldn't receive until next year though once the renew happens). Cancelled anyway, but if anyone's considering not cancelling and leaving it active, it might be worth doing.

      Looks like you've got a free year. Take a screenshot of that page and each page as your checkout just in case they try to charge you
