The new model is about to be released. Price is out now just waiting to be available for order. Has a 16x zoom compared to this one.

  • Can this be ceiling mounted or just wall mounted like the picture?

$306 delivered with eBay Plus using coupon code 'PLUSFLASH3'.

    • Just about an hour ago, I received a low ball offer of AU $341.31 from Reolink eBay.

I was searching for the RLC-823A 16X model. There doesn't seem to be any AU stock.
This was the same for the 4X RLC-823A model last year.

      • Its not released yet but it will be available here for sure

Strongly recommend people avoid a1_electrical_toys, I returned a camera, purchased in Feb, with a condensation problem in early Oct. They’re refusing to repair or replace it. Pretty much in limbo with them. Reolink not helpful either. Buyer beware.

  • Cheaper on eBay as bob81 above has mentioned.

    My Reolink experience.
I originally purchased an Argus Pro 1. It worked okay. Wifi was limited to 2.4Ghz (802.11N) with poor range, and no matter what size or speed SD Card I used in it, there was a few seconds of delay between motion detection and motion capture.
Camera lasted 16 months, then the WiFi died and stopped connecting to any network (I tried 7). The camera would attempt to connect, freeze then reboot).
Reolink admitted it was a common fault and offered to replace it with a Argus 2, if I'd pay for the new camera to be sent out and send the broken one back. $30 worth of postage for a camera upgrade… Not bad right?
    Wrong. New camera was DOA.
I obviously let Reolink know straight away. Their reply was that because my original was out of warranty, the same warranty carries over and this camera is out of warranty too… However, they do offer to upgrade me to the Argus Pro 3, if I pay for shipping again. A further $30 later and all is well.
Argus Pro 3 still suffers from the motion detection to record delay and may in fact be worse (maybe due to the higher res recording?). However it's now capable of 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz Wifi which is a massive improvement. Welcome to 2008 Reolink.
Camera lasted 3 months and has just now died. Similar issue to the Argus 1 WiFi issue and also a battery issue where the camera only stays on while it's got a USB charger attached.

This has been my experience with the Argus line from Reolink and Reolink support, and I've read similar from other people. Maybe yours will be different, but I'm going to post this PSA any time I see a Reolink "deal" listed here.

Good read. Thanks for the warning !

    • I've had the opposite experience, asked if they had for additional functionality on an argus and they uploaded a beta version a day or two later
Had a solar panel not charge properly and after paying $10 for shipping they sent another one.
I've got a NVR setup too, which the wireless battery cams automatically recognise so I can see them all on my phone.
Yes there are delays at times, but I understand this to be unfortunatly normal (my dad has a ring camera, very slow)

      YMMV

    • Hi, thank you for the feedback. Could send me your case number or order id? We will check this instantly and fix the issue.

  • The new model with x16 zoom is on the AU Reolink website at $522

    https://m.reolink.com/au/product/rlc-823a-16x/

    • Yes. It has been advertised well on their website, but you won't find any stock for months here in AU.

  • When will the video doorbell be available?
