$200-$300 per day for a piece of crap

Seriously?? With this logic you should never drive

      • You can hire a non-Tesla considerably cheaper…

        • Prices start from $149/day, it's just that those listings get booked quickly. If you search with Flexible dates - more options will come up.

The same ABC article says that the steering wheel issue has been fixed with an over-the-air software update. Any other manufacturer who does that without owners needing to visit the service centre? Mercedes, Toyota & BMW seem to come up a lot more frequently on the govt recall list.

There are many other non-Tesla EVs on the platform too: Polestar, Mini electric, Mercedes EQC, Kia EV6, Kia Niro.

And yes you can hire a regular car a bit cheaper, but will pay a lot extra for petrol compared to electricity. Many places offer free charging or can cost $25 to fully recharge at a supercharger and that's over 400km range.

            petrol is included.

            • @jv: Sure, some car-sharing fleets offer that. That's okay, no one is being forced to rent a Tesla, although it's a lot of fun :)

although it's a lot of fun

Do they come in manual ?.

If not, they are no fun…

    1. Rent here for $450/week https://next.agl.com.au/ev-subscription/cars/model3
    2. Rent out here http://www.evee.com.au/ for $150/day after all expenses and fees
      You're in business!!! :-)

Just kidding, but couldn't resist :-)

    • Haha you've finally found the infinite source of money!

  • What a conflict to have. To own a Tesla and to believe Musk is a threat. And then to lecture others
