  • Price seems suspiciously low.
What kind of used condition are we talking here?

gotta be ex-corporate. These are great machines though. Build quality comparable to the XPS line at the time.

      • +1

Ex-corporate fleet machines tend to be treated pretty well because most people working in banks and government are more or less mature adults, and any gear which gets broken along the way is either repaired by diligent IT procedures or trashed (and hence doesn't get sold).

  • Can these charge over usbc?

    • +2

      yes with 65w charger
comes with traditional barrel charger tho

    Dell Latitude 7 series - ✅
    8th Gen Intel Core - ✅
    USB-C PD charging - ✅ (needs 65 watts IIRC)
Seller with decent feedback - ✅
30 day warranty - ❌ however a very good price to balance this

    • Says 3 months in description

These are great for those needing to buy a school laptop for next year. I recently picked up a Latitude 7470 for <$250 recently, got a brand new battery for $100. Not bad when the school is suggesting a crappy 11 inch netbook for $500+.

    • +1

agree, this will be 10x better experience than using a netbook

Can someone with tech smarts - like maybe the rep - tell me if the "uSIM (external)" in the specs means that I could use 4g data connection (as I am aspiring to be an aged road warrior)?

    • Unlikely - ask the seller for a service tag to look up the as-built.

    • You must contact seller to confirm. Although the Dell laptop would have the 4G Sim card slot, however, on the mother board, the WWAN card (4G) would be removed or not provided internally.

I have one of these (different seller)
They are a great laptop - mine was in mint conditon and performance, weight and battery life all great

  • What would the battery quality be like? I would imagine the health would be poor after all these years?

    • +2

always hard to say, its a lucky dip depending on how it was used, exact age of supply, if its been replaced in its lifetime.
FWIW mine came was at 90% life.

Batteries are readily available and very easy to install.

Thanks, got one. Great deal with all the savings!! Perfect as a school laptop for kid.

    • Arrived yesterday. pretty solid laptop for its price and great for my kid for school work. Condition is great.

Need to check the battery quality later to see what it comes with.
