20% off Storewide @ Dell eBay

1080
DELLBF20

I know a few people have been waiting for another Dell 20% off, so here it is! :)

Max discount $1000 per transaction. For some reason they have pulled the search link for the eligible products which should be here (according to T&Cs):

https://www.ebay.com.au/e/_sales/20-to-22-off-dell-storewide…

Still, seems the code works on Dell products and a quick scan of the Dell eBay store indicates it's storewide, e.g. S3222DGM Gaming Monitor $559.2, the classic S2722QC at the (not that great) price of $519.2.

I'm sure you will find better deals as you look through the store, I only had a quick scan so if you come across anything particularly good, post it in the comments and I'll add it to the description.

Edit:
Looks like some great deals on laptops, e.g.
Dell Inspiron 15 3525 Laptop AMD Ryzen™ 7 5825U 16GB RAM 512GB $778.56

This is part of Black Friday / Cyber Monday deals for 2022

Was really looking for 90% off monitors.

    • +3

Hardly anything in the monitor section, compared to the normal Dell store.

    • -1

You know why stop there why not 100%

    • +2

I was hoping they would pay me to take an ultrasharp off their hands.

  • +7

    Came for the Muzeeb comments

    • +4

I really should have included some obligatory Muzeeb reference in the description.

      • +4

What's this whole muzeeb thing I've seen it a lot!

        • +3

Read the entire comments section here: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/725021

          • +6

            @HamBoi69: That's 28 pages of comments vruh

            • +1

@AndrewMTG: Just read it. It needs the whole narrative, backstory and process to be read to be understood. I guarantee you'll laugh.

        • +11

There was a price error where a $2500 38 inch monitor was sold for $250.
So many people were able to get through the system.
Now Muzeeb is the defacto deity of Ozbargain.
I expect there will be a shrine to him at the anniversary party.

    • He's disappeared, the Dell assassins have obviously got to him

Only absolute ripper I could find is this one https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/334556064681?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mk…

If i had Any use for another laptop at all id buy that. What value

    • Yeah some of the laptops appear to be great value- especially the high end ones. I'll update the post a bit later to include this!- thanks

      • +1

I looked through all and this is only one stacking to like 40% off from what I can see.

Instabuy if you need a byod device fam.

    • Reckon anything better will pop up? I'm looking for a new "cafe computer" for non-work related stuff, our old surface pro died a while back. This seems pretty good but I'm not really sure how good a deal it is

      • +2

People said the screen is terrible. Not even 50% sRGB

        • What Andrew said. If you dont need the perf of this one you're better off with an older surface laptop or something for nicer screen etc but it'll be out of warranty… Don't pay a premium!

          • @Dvbargain: Definitely better laptops available around the same price during other sales. No wonder the laptop so cheap if the screen is cheap. Even if it's 120hz worse colours not worth anything. Minimum screens should have 100% sRGV

            • @AndrewMTG: I have been looking quite closely recently and from a pure perf perspective this hasn't been beaten for a little while, from what I've seen….but yeah it's not a complete package.

I know you'd like all screens to be perfect but….thats not how life works mate lol

              • @Dvbargain: Well no shit. There's definitely other laptops for good price, just cause this is a Ryzen 5825U with 16gb ram doesn't automatically make it great, surely atleast 45% NTSC

                • @AndrewMTG: You can't say "minimum" screens should be 100% then no shit in the same thread, they're at odds man lol. 5825 and 16Gb RAM at this price point do make it great automatically in my view, compared to the other options.

                  • +1

@Dvbargain: Yeah but with a Terrible screen you'd regret the purchase. Unless the screen Could be replaced or upgraded somehow i don't see the worth unless you're pluggin in another monitor. It like buying a super good pc but you get a 60hz tn panel

                    • @AndrewMTG: You might, others might not. You might regret getting a lappy with better screen and a shitter cpu with 8gb ram cos your programs run like shit. We aren't talking high end here we are talking sub $800 new with warranty

    • Hot Damn!

AU $778.56 with the discount and promo code!

Anyone know what level the integrated GPU is?

  • Is this even at their frequent sale prices? Maybe they plan to drop them more?

  • +2

still waiting for the S3422DWG to go on sale…

  • Any good gaming laptop deals? Alienware looks steep for $3k plus with a 3070 TI…

  • +2

I was always a supporter of Dell until recently. The batteries in the laptops are now junk and you are lucky to get 16 months out of them. They are considered to be a consumable item, yet to replace the batteries, you need to undo quite a few screws, remove the laptop backing plate and carefully remove a ribbon cable. Not really an average consumer replaceable item. I would suggest before your 12 month warranty expires, run a battery report and log a warranty claim against it.

    • Even for the XPS?

How would you run a battery report?

      • +6

we purchased 3 inspiron's. all the batteries failed within 18 months.

        To run a battery report:
        Open powershell as ADMIN
        powercfg /batteryreport /output "C:battery-report.html"

It will show you all the information including charge capacity and design capacity

        • Cheers, I'll try it on mine, I think the warranty is ending soon.

What is a reasonable number for battery degradation? 80% of max?

        • I've had my Inspiron 5320 for about 8 months and I'm still on full charge capacity (54Wh), though I limit my charging to 85% specifically to reduce degradation.

    • +1

Chiming in as well, as an (ex) XPS user, stay TF away from Dell's laptops and their worthless "Pro" level warranties. Only way you'd get a resolution is your state's fair trading or tribunal.

    • We have about 300 Dell Laptops and get full 3+ years out of them.
It really depends on usage, I can spot the difference on a laptop that has been ran 24/7 as the battery definitely showing earlier wear.
For people who shut it down every day and get 8 hours they are fine.
Most laptop manufactures get there batteries from the same companies anyway and put a different badge over the top.

  • Poor AUD/USD rates makes it hard for anyone to offer really good deals to Australians these days. What's worse is that the exchange rate is almost certainly a means of manipulation, creating maybe profits for manipulators and their affiliates. It's not even hard - they make $$ whichever way the exchange goes, the just need to periodically change them, like a sine wave

Are prices jacked on Dell site ??

Won't compare to my Alienware Monitor xD

  • +5

After a S2722QC but shan't be paying that price. Was low 379 in a July 20% off sale. Inflation must really be ripp'n and tear'n.

    • I know right…

I got 3x of the s2721qs for ~$320 back in April last year.

I need more and I'm holding out for similar deals!

I might be waiting a while!

Keep missing the refurb deals on the S2722QC :-(

  • Should I wait for Dell S3422DGM or go for the 32"?

    Main use work / gaming.

Not storewide, didn't work for U3223QE.

  • +6

When is s2721dgf going back to 400$

    • I'm holding out for the same :(

    • +1

Am I going blind or was that not even available in the store??

  • +1

Tks OP, bought an Inspiron 13 with 12th gen i5 for my kid's year 7 next year, seems decent enough to last a few years.

    • +1

Kudos, I did exactly this a couple of years ago on Black Friday but from the Dell Outlet (got a Latitude 5500).

  • Is anyone able to give a recommendation on a monitor from this deal for home office use that isn't too expensive?

  • They seem to have taken most of the good items off their store
