  • I guess you need to buy a replacement charger for 240v?

    • +5

Most laptops are multivoltage. Just need to have the correct plug adapter for oz.

Also since this charges via usb c. Any usbc power adapter or power bank capable of 65watt or even higher will likely charge this thing.

    • +2

nah you may need an adapter that would be it. all chargers are 120-240v autoswitiching these days. if you can plug it into the wall your fine. Half the time i just bend the pins…

You'd probably just need one of these ICE 320-C13 cables. Chances are most people have a spare one lying around.

    Finally, a touchscreen laptop.

  • added screen specs too. finally some a good screen!

  • It looks like the memory is soldered on board?
    Can somebody confirm?

It would be great if there was a slot to add extra memory.

    • Reviews says soldered. So no expansion. Only the ssd is upgreadable.

    Q: Is the RAM soldered?

    Answer this question
A: The 8gb model I got had 4gb soldered on, and 4gb in a slot. You can replace the slotted one easily. The ssd (nvne) is also replaceable.

      But amazon?

      • Accessories and warranty
The scope of delivery includes the notebook as well as a power adapter and the usual inserts.

Acer offers a standard warranty for the Spin 3 with a one-year return service and a one-year ITW (International Travelers Warranty).

The ITW is a travel warranty that covers service cases during stays abroad up to a maximum of 3 months in over 100 countries around the world. With the ITW, you can have a device purchased in your home country repaired free of charge in the country where you are staying for no longer than 3 months, as long as it has an Acer representative.

Warranty extensions are available on the Acer homepage, where the standard warranty and the ITW can be extended up to 4 years. Acer offers a 3-year on-site service with repair within one business day for customers who need a replacement quickly in case of a defect.

I certainly wouldn't feel comfortable spending 1k to get a 3mo warranty and need to fork out extra $ for a standard warranty.

My other concern would be that model is not showing up here in Au stores. Which could also mean long delays in getting it repaired because you may need parts to be shipped in from OS.

Im sure its a great deal, but the risk factor is too high for my liking.

  • Now $549.99!

    • Forgot the original price….is this now even cheaper?
