  • There is a number of competitor products. Roborock, Xiaomi, Bissell. Which one one is best I wonder.

    • Tineco seems to be better than most. I've been researching vacuum mops for a few months now and finally settled on the Tineco S5 steam. Waiting for it to go on sale. The S3 has plenty of great reviews so if you are considering it, I'd say go for it.

    • Tineco S3 is fantastic on our polished hardwood floors, super powerful vacuum to catch the crud & hair the cocker spaniel drops everywhere and the spinning brush easily lifts most stains and spills. Leaves the floor shiny and feeling very clean to walk on.

    • You forgot HiZero too.

      • Not really in my top list. But thanks.

        • Do you mind saying the reasons? I have the Bissel cordless one and in general not bad option, and my sister have the Hizero and she is very happy with it, seems to dry the floor quickly, lighter and longer battery life, but may be $100-$200 more expensive.

          • @huntabargain: A lot of people rate Tineco higher by far compared to Hizero. IIRC Hizero vacs on forward pass and then mops on backwards or the other way around whereas the Tineco just vacs and mops at the same time

            • @MeesusEff: Hizero does not vac rather it sweep. Also I don't believe it vac forward and mop backward, the Hoover does that (ie vac all time but release water / mop when reverse.
If you check Product review Hizero has 4.7 out of 5 from 559 review, and Tineco S3 has 3.7 out of 5 from 25 review, so not really correct statement from all direction?
              Sample review of Tineco S3:
              1. Waste of money
              2. All but problems, been back under warranty countless times and again its broken . Don't ever buy this, buy a dyson.
              3. Brought back to Godfrey 3 time in 1.5 years
              4. Nice idea, detail design flaws.
              5. Disappointed
              6. Worst product i have ever bought

              • @huntabargain: I'm in a 'Mums who clean' Facebook group that has like 350k members and a post comes up every so often. When I was looking up what to get, most of the comments say the Tineco is way better, and when it's been so much cheaper it's an easy decision. I bought one in July and I don't know how I managed without one before.

Its really easy to clean and put together as well. There's many comments on how bad Hizero is but I cbb pasting them. If you join the group and search Hizero tineco you'll see it

@huntabargain: Everyone on OzB should already know that ProductReview cannot be trusted.

Anything over 4 stars are mostly fake, or there are incentives offered for people leaving postive review.

Personally I'd be very cautious for those very high rating products.

@FloatingPoint: So which other product review sites to trust then, the NBN one?
So you are saying that they pay them to write good reviews for Hizero and pay them to write bad review on Tineco? Interesting.. As I mentioned my sister has the Hizero and she is very happy with it and she has not posted her review nor got paid by them to lie to me..

                  • @huntabargain: There is none. No nbn cannot be trusted as well. Why would you trust any strangers online?

It's simple. Most people would not bother leaving a positive review on those site if there is no incentive, but unhappy customers would find ways to vent their disappointment there if something happened. That's why Amazon has 1.7 stars

I'm not interested to argue with you. It has been done many times here

    • I have one. Really good. Only issues are overcome on the S5 pro, but it's not worth another $450 tbh.

  • I bought a Karcher corded version from Bunnings a couple of years ago. It's a bit clunky, but I am still amazed at how much dirt it pulls up from our hard floors, even just after they have been mopped. The water that comes out of the discard-tank is always filthy.

It also puts very little water on the floor which is good for the floating floors.

  • Have had my Tineco S5 Pro for about 6 months now and love how easy it is to clean the house and clean up afterwards. One of my no regrets purchases even with the pricetag.

Bought this earlier in the year for around this price. Used in our previous place on hardwood floors, and now on the extensive tiled floors in the new house.

Have been very happy with it. A little chatty, and the water tanks aren't the biggest i.e. to do the whole house we need to refill the clean water/cleaning solution once and empty the dirty water, but both minor in the scheme of things. The roller doesn't go all the way to the edge so you do have a couple of cms from walls/skirting that won't get covered, the upgraded model offsets the roller to address this (but comes at a big price premium).

The previous deal post I put up had links to some YouTube reviews comparing the market offerings and this came highly recommended.
