  • … Bought one the other day because I wanted a quick cheap and cheerful mouse to replace my double clicking g502/g903 wireless mice… Paid 65 (black) . Not sure I care enough for the 18 dollar saving to return though. Been using it already a fair bit!

    • return new one with old receipt.

    • I got one for work.
But yeah i couldn't let my g502 go so i got kailh switches to replace the shoddy omrons it came with that were already double clicking.
Only soldered once before (g9 mouse before this). I reckon i got a few more years before i need to replace this mouse.

      • I've got the replacement switches and g502 still laying around. Don't have a solder. Mate was gonna do it for me. XD

How does the G305 compare to the Razer Basilisk X Hyperspeed?

  • +1

43 is a good price, I paid 67 for my last one.

I have two of these , one for my workstation and other for my laptop. I quite like them, comfortable to use and nice aesthetic. Endurance mode makes the battery last quite a while.

However Logitech quality is crap these days (or always have been?). Every Logitech mouse and keyboard I've had in the last few years develop faults in less than a year (their microswitches are crap and horrendous for doubleclicking). I have older stuff if theirs still going strong nearly at the ten year mark (headphones, speakers, mouse etc).

  • Have bought 3 of these and all were around 35.

  • Compared to Razer Orochi V2 for $50, which one is the better deal ?

    • +1

Orochi V2 is generally considered the better option because you have the option of dongle or Bluetooth and many other nice little things, but the Hyperspeed dongle it comes with is just a problem in itself, it literally takes over every channel on the 2.4Ghz frequency to achieve it's 'Hyper' speeds. If you use a laptop and don't have 5Ghz as a Wi-fi option, go with the G305, if you have a desktop PC or laptop with ethernet connection/5Ghz Wi-fi and don't have any bluetooth connections around your PC/laptop (headphones, keyboard etc.), go with the Orochi V2.
