    I’m after a drill bit kit with less individual pieces, but still high quality. Anyone got any suggestions? This kit has it all, but seems overkill. The price is amazing though

      Putting all the ideas in your comment together and I think you've answered your own question - this kit is the one for you. Just take out the parts that you won't use/don't need and keep the rest - thus, "less individual pieces" but "high quality" because "the price is amazing".

        Haha. Thanks. I guess it could be the kit for me. I just like keeping my tools to a minimum. There are lots of components that will simply collect dust. And I don't want to have to keep replacing the bits I use the most, which will inevitably break with time.

    Decent set. Drill bits aren't overly strong but good enough for most standard work, and you can replace them with better bits when they fail.

      This is exactly what I do. I have the 83pc, think I got it ~9yrs ago. Most of the frequently used and fragile bits, like the 2mm HSS, have been replaced a few times. Super handy to have just about every bit you’d need in the one carry case.

      screwdriver bits are also weak, I bought this a year ago and have gone through all the PH2 bits already

    Some reviewers on Amazon were critical of quality.
    I’ve been waiting on this for awhile and now I’m a bit disillusioned.
    Only wanted one just for “once in a blue moon” sort of thing, so it should be ok and not brake trying to drill a hole in a brick wall for example?

      I have used these into brick wall no dramas. The quality is definitely above your cheap brands and well worth the price.

      I decided to go with Bosch corded drill. Super cheap and batteries one less thing to worry about.

      Maybe if end up doing a lot more home repairs I'll cordless but no point for now.

        I've had this drill for 10 yrs and it's great, totally agree about the batteries but I always get negged when i recommend corded tools

          Meh. $40 for something I'll use 2-3 times a year, vs $200-300 for a "decent" brand battery one.

    Ive had one of these and used it for 6-12 months on odd jobs around the place. Never had an issue, I highly recommend it.

    Note I use it for DIY. Steal at this price IMO.

    I bought one last time around. Its handy and made good use if it, the quality is reasonable but giddamn the bits are hard to pry out of the rubber slots.

      I use them with my dewalt impact and they work very well. Make sure you use the right bit for the job obviously

    This is definitely worth it for the price, but as others have said, the quality on the bits is average. The metal drill bits don't cut well and break easily. But for a DIY around the house kit, this thing is hard to beat.

    For wood this kit is totally fine but if your working on steel or masonry then best to get a quality single size bit for the job.

        Thanks. Usually bits in these types of sets even those market as hss snap when you try to drill into hardwood such as decking joists. Will give these a try

          If you do the in and out peck drilling while you drill this will eject the wood chips and your drill bit will feel free and mighty also reduce heat since less friction it will not snap. Also forcing your drill bit isn't good because it loses tempering as it over heats.

          This set has the wood drill bits with the brad point it has flutes designed for higher ejection rate you should try those. Keep your bits sharp.

          Yeah looks like you had a promotional credit. I placed an order over the weekend using a promotional credit I received as per a cancelled order due to a Price error. They didn't deduct any money for the price-error order and offered the promotional credit as a 'Sorry for the inconvenience' which applies to all items sold and shipped by Amazon

          This is how said order appears for me using the promotional credit to order something else.

      Depends what you want to drill into but that should be fine for most stuff that doesn't require a hammer drill.

    It's not a bad kit, the bits are really poor quality though. Like, they are throw aways after a few challenging situations. I have since purchased a Milwaukee bit set and the quality difference is so evident.

    Bought one of these last year and it has been great for general light use around the house, it's great grab the case and know just about anything I need is in there. Only complaint is the complete lack of a 4mm Hex bit, it has 3x 5mm but no 4mm.

      Bosch don't make any Bosch specific drills. The only special drill bits are SDS drills.
