Dreame D9 Max Robot Vacuum $319.20 ($311.22 with eBay Plus) Delivered @ Dreame eBay

680
FRIBLK20FRIBLK22

Cheapest I've seen this one as well.

4000pa auction
LIDAR navigation
5200 mAh battery

Main difference between this and the L10 pro I posted earlier is the additional obstacle avoidance in the L10 pro. Few smaller differences including older firmware for the D9 max (according to support, this should be eventually updated) and inferior hardware which you probably won't notice.

$311.22 if you have eBay Plus and use FRIBLK22.

  • Well this just made the decision harder. With CR the L10 Pro is $430 on your other post, is it worth the extra $120 compared to this?

    • +1

The D9 Max I have doesn't seem to have too many issues with obstacles, but our house stays relatively clean of clutter and we don't have children or pets to really test it out.

    • +2

They will accept offer of $320

  • How's this do on carpet?

  • +1

How does this compare to the Roborock S5 Max?

    • Much better

      • The Roborock is much better or the D9?

        • No, the D9 max is much better. Way higher suction as well as front and top LiDAR.

          • +1

@iseeyou1312: Not always the deal. Tests show that more auction doesn't necessarily equal better cleaning

            • @adrianhughes1998: This is true, although you would presume a newer robot in the same company (Xiaomi) with more suction would clean better than an older model with less suction. But I guess it also depends on the debris and other components like the brush, flaps, etc…

  • +4

Well, came to under $282 with giftcards, Ebay $10 voucher and the $10 cashback, can't imagine it getting much cheaper. I would've posted the deal but was afraid it would go OOS before 11am!

    • Question. Did you need to apply the Ebay $10 voucher or does it get applied automatically? Mine is just showing $311.22 at checkout page.

      • +1

I was referring to this promotion, you don't need to apply it just activate it. There's another $25 gift card promotion but that one doesn't require activation.

        • Ah thanks for that. I just read the T&C and voucher is given around 5th December after spending

    • +3

They will accept offer of $320

      • Does the 22% off stack with the offer of $320?

        • +1

          yes.

          • @frondono: Wow, I never knew that! Thanks for the info, hopefully they accept mine too lol.

  • do these finally support automatic floor detection? I got the old dreame do and I've programmed 2 maps but I always have to manually switch them over which really s***.

    • You can set no-mop zones in the app, as well as choose the suction and water volume for each room, but they won't auto-detect carpet.

    • Don't think so.

      • you need to remove the mop. when you dont want mop.otherwise it will drag over your carpets too.

        • +2

I assumed the question was floor detection in terms of if you have a multi storey house, which map it will use. Unlike the Roborock's, with the Dreame you still need to switch it manually.

          • @JR63: That's the exactly what I need. But I won't pay 1000 or more for that feature. Might have to wait a little longer😅

  • Can you get an auto empty station with this?

  • +1

Would this be a better buy that the Ecovacs Deebot N8 (for $399)?

    • +6

The main issue people seem to have is that the Ecovacs software isn't very good.

    • I’m struggling with this too and cannot work it out. Don’t care for mop function. Just want something reliable that I don’t have to remap often.

    • +1

Deebot software is woeful. The robot itself is good but not the software so I do not recommend.

    • I'll add my voice to the do not buy Deebot choir. :)

      • Thanks. Bought the dreame

  • any deal for handheld vacuum cleaner?

    • Dreame T30

      • thanks.

  • Pulled trigger as well

  • Cool man.. I was looking to buy a robo vaccum and glad i waited for this instead of the N8.

  • +6

They will accept offer of $320

    • interdasting… + 10% shopback after 8pm i presume, might have to give it a go

    • can we still apply codes if the offer is accepted?

      • +1

yeh it should appear automatically in your cart after being accepted, just checkout through your cart and add the code there

      • +1

ebay seller usually takes 2-3 days to respond

        • +1

offers expire in 24h so still get 4-5 days to get one accepted before the code is gone. Might miss the extra shopback 10% tonight but if they accept the offers like they apparently have been it would still be pretty sweet to get it at 250

          • @NutnButAPnut: I have submitted the offer of $320, still has not been accepted.

            • +1

@master1: Mine took 10 minutes to be accepted, got it for $256

              • @pket: can you stack with 20/22% on top?

                • @Indomie5: Yes. They just accepted my offer. Comes to 249.60 after 22% off. Plus cashback (if tracks). Plus $10 credit from another ebay plus thing. Love it. Thanks a ton OP for the post and frondono for the best offer tip!

              • @pket: Jealous this is called double dipping but good on you

              • @pket: What was your offer? $256 before or after discount?

                • @Bearboi: They accepted my offer on the second try this morning of 320.
                  Total was 249.60.
                  Thanks to @frondono legend!

    • I tried making an offer of $320 but its declined.

      • Makes me feel better since I only offered $380 before and felt salty seeing someone got $320 accepted. I think $320 offer got accepted accidentally or the person who did it wasnt supposed to. Maybe $350 offer is good enough?

        • I got accepted wih $325, pretty happy :)

      • i presume they only accept/decline on weekdays. My 3 offer attempts at 320 on my account expired fri/sat/sun. Did it today at 325 on my partners account and it was accepted pretty quick. Ended up at $253.5 after code

    • Offer of $320 accepted today within an hour, down to 250 with the code, thanks mate!

    • Thanks all. Made an offer of $320 which was accepted. Used the code and final price of $249.60.

    • Legend mate. I made an offer of 320 instead of buying at 399 9 with coupon which I thought was already good. Less than 250 with black Friday coupon is a stupendous price.

Will the D9 accessories on aliexpress work for the D9 Max?

  • Has anyone had any issues with this eBay seller… I see reviews are around 80%

    • They are not very good at answering their messages just FYI.

      • Has it been confirmed that the ebay seller is actually Dreame.com.au?

        • Anyone get updates on this? lol

        • I've been in contact with their chat before on dreame.com.au and when I told them I bought it from their eBay store they asked for a reciept and forwarded it on to their customer service team.

  • +1

    I received mine today

  • If I'm mostly after the mopping feature, is this better than Yeedi Vac 2? Thanks so much to those who can share their opinion :)

    • The D9 max is equivalent to dragging a wet cloth around on the floor. The yeedi vac 2 pro comes with a oscillating mop which on paper would be better IMO. The non-pro yeedi would be similar to this.

      • @JR63 thank you! i will go with the yeedi vac 2 pro then :) thanks so much!

      • yeedi = a mop that drags a wet oscillating cloth on the floor.

Thanks to this thread, I made an offer of 320 instead of taking the plunge at 399. Made the offer last night and wad accepted at 715am this morning. With ebay plus 22% stacked on top came to 249.6.

    • Made an offer last night as well, hopefully they will accept my offer soon as the code expires today

      • What if the code expires, do you cancel the offer?

        • +2

No, and if you make an offer and they accept, my understanding is that you're committed to buying it, even if the code has expired.

Offers expire after 24 hours though, so if the offer was made last night, it'll expire before the code expires. If you make an offer now and it isn't accepted by this evening, just make sure you cancel the offer before the code expires.

          • @JR63: When does the code expire? Its tonight isnt it?

          • @JR63: Fingers crossed. There were more than 100+ bids active yesterday.

            • @onomatopoeia: Still not accept, hopefully seller wake up now

              • @ozvictor: 14 hours to go

                • @onomatopoeia: can we pull out the offers before the code expires? is that possible?

                • @onomatopoeia: Nothing still, thinking if I should message seller

                  • @ozvictor: No news for my bid as well, still sleeping I guess

                    • @onomatopoeia: Just messaged the seller and they replied in mins, useless response as code will be expired after 1 to 3 business days. All they need to do is to press the accept button !

                      “Hi, there!

We're currently receiving a high volume of inquiries. But no worries though, we'd be glad to keep in touch with you in 1 to 3 business days.

                      Thank you for your understanding.”

  • +2

I was accepted at $290, so $232 after code (20% only as don’t have eBay plus).

    • Wow when did they accept it and when did you send the offer? Thinking of retract the offer

      • Sent yesterday morning, accepted late evening.

        • I will probably not cancel and am happy if they accept my offer for $320 today since code will be expired soon, will see

          • @ozvictor: They just accepted a $650 offer on the D10 pro I put in ($500 after the code), so hopefully they've accepted yours too.

            • @JR63: When did you send the offer ?

              • @ozvictor: About an hour ago. They accepted within an hour.

                • @JR63: I am thinking of cancel my old one and send a new offer, but I can’t retract my offer on the app :(

                  • @ozvictor: Not sure about the app, but you can do it on the desktop site.

                  • @ozvictor: When I look at the offer for D9 it shows: 190 competing offers
                    For D10 Pro it's: 6 competing offers

So maybe it's best to go with the D10?

                    • @AaronRain: I will wait or just not buying it. D10 is over my budget, I agree with the eBay feedback seems like a horrible seller with less than 80% feedback

            • @JR63: Did you get the D10Plus or L10Pro?

              • @onomatopoeia: D10 plus. I think the object navigation of the D9 max (which we have) is good enough for our house is good enough, so I don't think we need the object avoidance of the L10 pro.

                • @JR63: Am tempted to pull the trigger if they accept the $650 (~500 after coupon)

                  • @onomatopoeia: I was surprised they accepted. I just put in a number that would mean it was $500 after the coupon.
