  • 7 pro vs 7 Active ,,, you both do voice/video calls and go to gym. Which to pick!?!

    • From what I have read it would be hard to justify the price jump from the 4 active

      • I actually went from the 7 Active to the 4 Active and then ultimately ended up back at the 7, purely because the 4 was too clunky. Definately got the 7.

      • Thanks but I was after the 7 Active vs & Pro… from my understanding, all in all 7 Pro > 7 Active ?!

        • I'm looking at getting the 7 Pro as well but a little nervous as there are mixed reviews about the actual microphone quality for making calls. I do make a few calls so that's a must have to be honest.

I'm using the 7 pro at the gym and it's been fine

      • Do you make calls with it? What do you think if you've used it for that purpose?

        • I never make calls with it while I'm out in public cause I prefer to hold my phone while I'm out and about. I don't know how loud I'm speaking when I get the buds in so it can get a bit embarrassing. While I'm at home the buds are fine.

@Sang11: Makes complete sense. I probably do the same naturally but want to be able to still talk to friends while I'm walking the dog without being too loud. If noise cancelling does a good job then you really don't have to talk loud but know exactly what you mean. I reckon I'll order a pair and hope they serve me well. Cheers.

            • @gadgetfreak28: I've used the Jabra 7 pro for about 6 months, I used it a lot for calling and never had a problem. Also, sound quality was great. Have had the sony wf-1000xm3 before this one and reason to switch was mic quality.

Returned it recently as it had a charging issue. Customer service was on point and straight away offered a return or refund. Went down to officeworks (bought it from there) and money back when I showed the email from Jabra.

Was hoping for a pixel buds pro deal, but looks like nothing for black friday, reconsidering the Jabra 7 pro.

              • @Bargainizer: Thanks for sharing your experience. There's pixel buds pro being sold on FB marketplace for around $200 but then they don't come with invoice for warranty etc. Hopefully the pair you got was a dud and they generally have a good build quality.

                • @gadgetfreak28: Bought another pair of the Jabra elite 7 pro, steal at 177aud, couldn't justify the rrp on pixel buds pro.

                  • @Bargainizer: I cancelled my Jabra order as I was able to buy the Pixel Buds Pro from someone on FB for $180 which I thought was a good price. So far I'm really impressed. Noise cancelling isn't up to the Bose NC 700 standard but is still pretty good for wearing them around the office. They're extremely comfortable to wear for hours as well.

I have the Elite 7 Actives and if I had to do it again, wouldn't purchase.

      Please explain.

  • Just popped by Nunawading JB and the price is $177 in the store for the Elite 7 Pro. $2 cheaper than online woo!

    • Use gift cards to pay for it and save a bit more in true Ozbargain spirit :)

      • I definitely did! I had 2 leftover from the 15% off TCN cards 😊 true Ozbargain spirit

  • Reviews all say that calls with the Jabra Elite 7 Pro are amazing, but looking at Reddit there are a lot of people complaining about call quality.

    Anyone have experience with them?

Google have refunded me for a pair of Google Pixel Buds (2020 version), so wondering whether to go for the new Pixel Buds Pro, or to pick up something like this. Use cases would be calls/meetings and noise cancellation for flights, gym etc.

  • FYI, elite 4 actives are $112 on Amazon and can be priced matched using the live chat at Jb, and used with the $10 perks voucher brings it down to $102
