Important distinction is the Q35's ANC works when wired 3.5mm to in flight entertainment. The Q30 ANC does not work wired and ANC works only with bluetooth.

  • Are there much difference if i just want to use them around the house for movies and music to chill out to between the Q30, Q35 and Q45?

    • +1

It's been awhile since I did my research. But heres what I know about Q30 and Q35.

As I wrote in the post, Q30 ANC doesn't work wired but Q35's ANC does. Q30 was well known as the best at $99 price point. Q35 is more of an update to the Q30 with some more extra features such as slightly deeper earpads and LDAC support added. The reviews I watched said the ANC strength didn't really change.
If those small features don't matter to you and you are going to use the headphone with Bluetooth only then it's probably worth saving your money and getting the Q30.

One more thing I remember though, the Q30 had a headband cracking issue. Not sure if the quality of the headband was improved and the issue was fixed but worth mentioning. There is a quick fix with cable ties though for a cracked headband I posted about it in forums https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/726123

      • any idea how these compare to the Sennheiser Over Ear Noise Cancelling Wireless Headphones HD 450BT, White? on sale at amazon $148.

        • No idea.

        • I were going to buy the 450BTs during the sales but saw this deal, spent an hour watching reviews (and one versus website) and went with these Q35s.

          Thanks OP

@Cumberland: Cool. Not just reviews but majority of customer feedback claims the Q30/35's are the best ANC bang for buck at $99.

The next step up would be to get something like the XM3's which have been as low as around $150 for factory seconds https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/656541
I surprised myself when I found these old deals from 2021, I thought the XM3/4 were $300 headphones but seems like there are ways to get it for much less. Not sure if these kinds of prices will come back though due to shrinkflation.

  • I got some, they seem alright, see how they go.

  • How do these compare to Sennheiser HD 450SE ANC Headphones $119 Delivered?

I'm after comfort and sound quality moreso than ANC performance
