  • Does cash rewards still have a deal on refurbished products?

Was like wow wow wow, great price! For some reason my brain omitted "Refurb".

The only downfall on this product is the battery, 57.48Wh, definitely could have removed the 2.5" bay and included a larger battery.

Preference I'd say. I like the option to put in large/extra sata ssd for more storage. I don't really tend to play games with a laptop unplugged.

      • +1

Why they didn't make it optional: SSD or extra battery?
I prefer the battery as the main .5 TB + spare 2tb M.2 is enough & faster. You can clone the system on 2TB M.2 * 2nd & have 4TB + external SSD.
The battery hardly lasts 3h :(

Thank you op. Bought one :)

      You're welcome.

        I can’t believe I didn’t upvote the post. Guess I was too excited. :P

  • Refurbished in gaming laptops is even riskier than a refurbished iphone

    • +7

Got to risk it for the bargains, bro

Bought 2 refurbished iPhones in the past 12 months. Both came with 100% battery capacity.
I just bought a manufacturer refurbished laptop from jw. Only noticeable sign of use is a couple of marks on the lid.

      • +1

        Probably skid marks

I have this laptop, the gpu fan started making buzzing noises just after the warranty expired.

  • +5

Had it since the bing lee deal last year. No issues at all, and this one comes with 16gb ram, so no extra cost. Solid deal.

  • Would this be a good deal if i hooked up an external gpu?

    • +1

What games are you playing? This laptop isn't unusable by any means for gaming

      • overwatch2 is probably the newest title i'ld play, elden ring and i guess watever is interesting on game pass. everything else i own is all older stuff (diablo3, persona 5, dmc5 etc).

      • +2

        Isnt this a gaming laptop?

  • 1650 not 1650ti?

My 1650ti is already way underpowered compared to my previous-gen 10300h in my nitro 5

  • This one or a used one from ebay for $200 less?

    • +1

This one is used, eBay would be a better deal.

      • … The one from eBay is used too?

        • They're all used, this thread is a deal for a refurb & this laptop most likely wouldn't be new on eBay.

Edit: Unless you are referring to the Asus TUF Gaming F15 from the top comment of the other listing, that one use Brand New.

          • @Jimbuscus: It was an ASUS TUF 15" | Ryzen 7 3750H | 16GB | GTX 1650 | 250GB SSD. 2 years old. It costs $480. With eBay gift cards and cash back, It will become $455. If I add 512GB SSD for $40, then this the cost will be $495. That's how I came to that $200 savings figure. But, a 12-month warranty is not there.

    Acer Nitro 5 - 1650ti (8GB) $629.15 with code SNSNOV (eBay).

    • A second 8GB SODIMM should only cost around +$40, assuming this eBay listing is single channel.

Good price. FYI used and not refurb
