Scoopon Fabness MASSIVE 100cm x 50cm Printed Canvas $49 Plus Postage ($10?)

380

Hi everybody

"Hi Dr Nick"

Scoopon have a deal with fabness allowing a huge 100cm by 50cm printed canvas.

I have bought this deal before and found the quality excellent, and have just bought 5 more today for adding a bit of colour to my work place. The size is huge, and the level of service was excellent last time.

So do yourself a favour - I believe this deal expires approximately midday on Tuesday this time around.

I think postage is extra, at about $10 per canvas. So budget for approx $60 for each print and you shan't ("shall not" for non Enid Blyton readers) be disappointed

  • Where is the deal? Link is just to Scoopon page… I don't see it there

it is on the Scoopon page under "National" for their "recap of June" special

Is the printed canvas of the woman getting a massage?

  • Does this include the canvas frame? Can't see it being mentioned in the page

Just a comment these deals are now coming up through scoopon/livingsocials/cudo every few weeks… Good value but getting common.

    • I agree gusta7, but having said that I have never seen a better deal than this one, and I can personally vouch for the quality of this company's work based on previous orders.

Plus, they are made in Australia, not overseas !!

        Address
        Fabness
        2520 S. Industrial Park Ave.
        Tempe, AZ 85282

        Arizona is in the US….

Their address in Aus is a PO box in NSW

Plus, they are made in Australia,

Interesting….. any proof of that? Lots of printing is done in China these days….

        • Definitely Australian.
I've been inside their factory where they manufacture canvases in Glen Innes, NSW.

        • why have you "been inside their factory where they manufacture canvases in Glen Innes, NSW"?

Because I can't see how they can do this price considering costs.

        • +1

I work for a I.T. company. They are one of our clients.
Awesome canvases. It's amazing to see them being printed/framed/etc…

  • What quality does the picture need to be?

I did one of these deals about a year ago and the quality was terrible. The company I used then was Canvas Factory/Chenoa Canvas.

Has anyone else used the company in this deal?

  • anyone have comments on the smaller size canvases (30x30) by same company?

    http://www.scoopon.com.au/deals/14470/stunning-30cm-x-30cm-p…

    • +10

yep - they are smaller than the big ones

  • being a photographer, I can say it could be the best quality canvas you can find in the market, it much much better than the canvas from BigW or target, or OP. It has 100% satisfattion guarantee even you just get a paint oid drop, you can return and they pay the postage. that trully from my personal experience.

    • you call yourself a photographer and you've only used scoopon, BigW or target?

that's like being a gourmet who's only had 2min noodles from maggi or home brand.

  • I was STOKED with this deal when I grabbed this deal last year.
Very good quality, excellent service, and very well packaged.

I'll be buying again. I can't imagine anyone being disappointed with this, especially for the price.

  • +1

I concur. The quality is excellent from fabness. If your image is good enough, the quality of their printing will not let you down

    • ps I expected to be negged because I used the word "concur"

      • Why? Do you think "concur" is a difficult word? And "shan't" as well?
I'd say they're pretty standard. You gotta try harder than that :P

  • Looks like a good deal but be mindful of the canvas aspect ratio of 2/1
It's either a panorama shot or a very tall shot.
You may be able to reduce the 100cm to bring it closer to a standard print?

  • Just bought the 30x30cm canvas though was only charged the $19 and not the shipping. Is that charged later on by Fabness?

    • they charge you straightway, but you redeem it a couple days later. No tricky, very smooth transaction.

  • don't know why they don't do 1m0.75M for $75nowadays, this 2:1 is really annoying, really hard to crop the photo to make it good.
    so waiting for the 1
    0.75 coming in the future.

    • some photos are ideal for 2:1, and some for 4:3. It can be impossible to make a 4:3 composed shot fit into a 2:1 aspect without destroying some of what made your 4:3 special, and vice versa.

  • I concur that Fabness are the best canvas printers I have tried, with artscow being pathetically bad.

Looks like I'll be getting another one or two of these…

  • Got one last time, looks great.

  • +1

Wow they normally charge $260 for these things!

    • +1

yeah, and Harvey Norman normally charge RRP for laptops/ultrabooks on non-sale days

      • +1

Yes clever I see you having a go at me there. But if I were to have jumped on the Fabness site without knowing there was a Scoopon, I would have paid full price. It's not like RRP which is never charged.

        • not having a go at you, johno07.

Definitely having a go at Harvey Norman though!!

  • Bought a couple from Fabness and all I can say is positive things…

  • +1

"Minimum image size of 3MG recommended"
Did they fail? Meant to be 3MP?

  • +1

I've got a canvas from Fabness, and I like it. I should have used a better pic, but never mind! What makes it even better is their excellent customer service. I forgot to use my voucher and it was a week after the expiry date when I contacted them to say "oops". They were very understanding and offered to validate my voucher for another week. Very generous.

  • Not sure if it is just a technical issue or worse, but the Fabness web-site is off line at the moment.

  • Fabness page not loading for me. May have been ozbargained

    • +1

Not being able to redeem until after 10 July was clearly listed in the conditions before purchase :)

      • Ah I'm not to fussed so all good!

  • Good deal, but canvas prints are becoming daggy. Nothing beats a good frame.

  • Thinking of purchasing this as I need to get a photo of myself with a band (Skillet) printed but the aspect ratio is 4:3. Would anyone here suggest that it would still turn out alright? Sorry I have no idea when it comes to photography :P Cheers!

    • +1

It really depends on the composition of the photo.
If there's a lot of things on the top and bottom that are important to the look of the picture then it's not going to look good. If it's mostly blank space at the top and bottom then it should turn out fine…

  • Bought one last time from Fabness.

Probably the best quality print out of the lot based on experience.

Just got another one which will make it my 4th purchase on these frames!

  • got 4 this time…6 last..great quality…not as long to use them this time…but already have the photos lined up…great for panorama prints….if you have photoshop knowledge great to create a montage, did one for each of the kids, came out great

  • Another +1 for Fabness.

I wish they were larger (still 2:1 though) - these are a bit small for my walls. Perhaps 1.5m x 75cm or 2m x 1m.

  • I would like to add that Fabness is great. Nice product and very good packaging. Accepts very large files and very quick delivery. A++++! (yes, I have bad experience with other canvas printers)

  • I had a canvas printed by Fabness late last year and there were bands across it (didn't send it back because it wasn't worth it). Nothing wrong with the photo and it had a large resolution too.

I've bought another coupon through them; hopefully this time I get a better result from their printers.

  • +1

Scoopon keeps extending the expiry on both fab deals

    • It looks will be extended until July 10 when you can actually start using the coupons.

  • Is anyone else having trouble entering in their coupon codes?
I see no effect when entered.

The fact that fabness requires two screens before verification is terrible service.

  • Revieved mine today. Happy with it. Probably should have used a higher quality image, but looks great when not 20cms away…
