  • I really enjoy Split Pad Pros, makes handheld Switch gaming just so much more enjoyable.

    Pros:
Brilliant comfortability, buttons feel as nice as a Pro Controller (personal opinion)

    Cons:
Scratch the back of the Switch slightly when you slide them on and off (doesn't bother me, because i never take them off anymore lol), no rumble, no gyro, no wireless capability

I'd like to try Binboks as I've read they're as good as these, but with the addition of wireless capability, rumble and gyro. The RGB on them looks tacky though.

    • These also don't charge so I assume they must drain the battery faster but I've never noticed. These also would not be great for portability given the size. But I use it at home anyway.
But personally the stick on the joycons hurt my thumb after awhile, its not smooth like most controllers but on these they are.
I remove them regularly but have never noticed it scratching my switch, maybe they do.

It might not drain battery faster. I tried together with my roommate, play the same game since 100%, and mine stay on longer. I use Split Pad pro, and my friend use regular joycon. Both of us have switch v1, and mine is 5 year old, while my friend's is 2 year old.

  • +1

These are great controllers for ergonomics and feel of buttons etc
Main con is obviously can't use it wireless, but ALSO can't remap buttons (only official joycons)
Only have this niche issue because I like to play rocket league on mine and I wig out at the different layouts between Xbox (my main acc) and when I jump on the switch

    • No remap takes away any 'PRO' label for me. Thanks for posting

  • Can you make the turbo button just hold down a button, or does it just continuously press a button?

    • +1

      continuously press a button

  • I love my split pad pro. I play 100% handheld and they are a must have!!

I will note tho I went thru 2 of this exact model due to the A and B button letters rubbing off, and it only took a few months for that to happen. Strange as the gold on the controller itself was find but the letters disappeared. I just got a refund on the 2nd one a few weeks back and got the red Charizard split pad so lets hope it doesn't happen again
