    • +1

you can use a gift card to buy an item, but you can’t buy a gift card

    • +2

Cashback is ineligible on purchase of vouchers, gift cards.

So you can pay with gift cards, but don't BUY new gift cards.

  • Don't know what to buy so can I just buy the $5 off Amazon e-gift cards and still get cashback?

Highly recommend this awesome screwdriver set. It's really good value for $18.

Lots of decent reviews on Youtube also.

    • this amazon reviewer seemed to be pretty happy with it
"I got this originally for fixing my Xbox controller, but I found that it also had a different kind of effect where it made me look more handyman than man. My moustache flares up whenever I pull this bad boy up, the ladies either look surprised or aroused but I can’t really tell since the moustache now covers up my view - I can only tell you that this product has served its ultimate purpose with fixing my controller, and maybe has given me more than any mortal man could ever give."

  • Purchases from Amazon US/UK are eligible for cashback provided the transaction is made via Amazon AU

How does this work? There's a product I want that comes up on amazon.com that will ship to Australia, but not if you search on amazon.com.au.

    • C'mon now…

    • Yeah then it’s not available through Amazon Australia…

  • Couldn't find anything to order, already ordered toilet paper a week ago, should wait.

  • I made purchase a little after 4 PM but realised after I clicked through that the CashRewards banner was still showing 7%, instead of the 15%. Would I still be getting the 15% cashback anyway?

  • PS5 disc consoles are in stock if anyone is looking for something to buy.

    • Seems like people wanted them when hard to buy, now $50 more and available all the time no one wants them now

      • Just shows how much of the stock shortages was due to scalpers.

        • And the thing is, scalpers wouldn't have sold it for $800 either when it was $750. So people paid more for them if they couldn't get it themselves. Someone told me all the retail price sales on fb marketplace are scams that asked him to pay money to overseas bank account.

I think Sony kept their chips for this new badge knowing they will increase prices.

      • Lol the downvote on my comment, who is the salty one, I am just stating an opinion.

  • Weber currently has 10% off on Amazon. This cash back with Aldi 10% gift card and Weber 10% can get you some serious discount on Weber products. For example I purchased a Weber go anywhere, if cashback is tracked correctly my total cost should be around $100. (Assuming my math is correct)

How long before tracking? Bought something about 15 mins ago, nothing yet

  • Put in about 4 separate orders worth of $155 so should get the full $20 cash back. Just hoping now everything is tracked correctly.

No idea why this 'deal' has so many upvotes. It's only limited to $20 per person, not even per transaction.

    • +3

Amazon is popular and TA is popular.

    • +5

      Pretty ridiculous comment.

      $20 cashback is $20 cashback!

    • You’re on OzBargain

    • +3

      It's not the $20. It's the 15%.

      $20 off $1000? Nah but $20 off $140? Yea!

That's huge on already discounted BF deals.

  • Only one transaction per account? Not multiple transactions capped at $20?

    • +1

can do multiple but capped at $20 total

      • Thank you. Placing another order now.

  • Bought a Yesdex monitor arm for $21 with free shipping. It's half price and don't even need Prime!

    • Cashback is ineligible on purchase of vouchers, gift cards …

dont think this is eligible for cashback?

      • +1

I believe this to mean if you're purchasing a gift card or voucher. I'm not purchasing it, I'm claiming a coupon from the seller by ticking a box.

Cashback is ineligible on purchase of vouchers, gift cards, kindle unlimited, audible, mobile apps, recurring subscribe & save items (first order only is eligible), Amazon Prime subscriptions & renewals. Cashback is also ineligible on use of any codes entered manually in Amazon's 'Promotion Code' field

        • It is not eligible as per previous deals. The rep had confirmed this many times previously to not enter a voucher promo code or tick the promo box.

It will track the cashback but ultimately it will be rejected.

          • +1

@cute as duck: Hmm well that would suck if that's the case, they should make it clearer in the T&Cs

I couldn't find previous comments from tightarse but found some conflicting response from GYB

            https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/11389848/redir

            either way, no big loss…..

            • +1

@uwuwu: You might get lucky, but it's only a few dollars anyway so no big loss. It's 15% cashback on $24 or whatever the price was after the 50% voucher was applied, not the end of the world.

    • +1

Did coupons make that one ineligible?

  • +2

quick! someone give me some suggestions what to buy? fomo

  • @tightarse I have ordered 3 orders which exceed $20 cap. 1st one $90, 2nd one $20 and the 3rd order itself more than $20. If I cancel the first order, should it affect the 3rd order cashback? I might order the 1st one later. Please confirm if I will get the full $20 capped cashback even if I cancel the first order?

    • No way you will get the full $20 of you cancel. It's like saying you'll instantly cancel a $130 order and expecting $20 for free.

They'll likely just give you 15% of the $40 if you cancel the $90 purchase

      • I should be clear about the thrid order, it was $197 and the cap of $20 would be met with the their order itself.

  • Managed to snag an early break Yeah Thank Supervisors,

    Got these items

Govee light strip $89 https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B08LVPWQQP (75.65 after Cashback)
    SanDisk 400 GB gold $61 https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B07FCQRN9K ($52 after Cashback)

    • some junkies

    Milo $5 https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B07FQL82YR
Thinking of ordering some hand soap or ready to eat foodz.
    now,

is 150 the order max limit to score $20 cashback??

Got screen recording too just incase,

@ TA when could we expect to see order tracked @ 15% sorry ?
    Thanks

    • $133.33

      Cashback is calcualted ex-gst

      • That's okay I already met that threshold a lot more than 133.33. Should see it at $20 tracked in total hopefully

      • 150 / 1.1 => $136.36

A true OzBargainer would have stuck just below the $133.33 limit, I suppose. ;)

    • Thank you i was about to order a 512gb sandisk ultra for 69, but then saw your link and check out, your card link is a sandisk extreme 400gb price very well @61$ so i ordered one

  • I wonder why you have to close other browser tabs.
I just made my purchase with other tabs open. (But i just clicked on the Cashrewards and Amazon tabs, nothing else )
Should be fine i think (Now gotta wait for the next 3 days for the cashback confirmation )

    • +1

I missed that in T&Cs. I did the same as you. Hope it tracks. First time participant.

      • +1

I think we should be ok.
I have used Cashrewards before , with other tabs open.
And i always get my cashbacks.

  • +2

    Quick Reminder for everyone.

Make sure you "untick" any "Promotional Credit' you might have.
This is very important, because Amazon automatically assumes you'll use it, which invalidates Cashback.

("Purchases paid with any Amazon promotional credit as partial or full payment are ineligible for cashback")

  • and it's over

now wait for eBay cashback tonight :D

  • This also applied to 3rd party sellers right? Got excited and forgot to check

    • Yes, and they are always eligible for these upsized cashback offers.

  • Now waiting for ShopBack to come up with similar Amazon cashback offer…

  • +1

Damn I didn't do the timezone translation right and I missed it while I was helping someone :'(

  • +1

    Thanks TA,

Hopefully you can run it again for Cyber Monday :)

  • Did 2 transactions just before 6pm, hoping that they're good!

  • +2

Come on shopback! Your turn 18% cap $30

  • Hey @tightarse or someone, if I made a purchase and want to change payment method (to gift card) retrospectively by editing payment method, will this void the cashback? Thanks 🙏

    • It won't from personal experience.

  • I clicked purchase in the cart at 5.59pm (laptop and mobile time). Hopefully should be good as it was legit time but no Cashrewards email as yet.

  • Anyone had any luck with the cashback being tracked and approved when the $5 promo credit was applied in the past? I missed that point and am totally gutted that all the planning was for nothing.

  • I couldn't find a single thing I wanted to buy during the 2 hours and I buy so much stuff from amazon all the time.

    • Yeah I just bought interstellar and lord of the rings 4k and a cheap hdmi switcher. Not too many great deals this black friday on amazon. Wanted to buy illustrated LOTR but was cheaper before.

    • +1

Always good to have items in your wishlist for times like that. Things you don't need immediately

  • 50 min too late.

Oh well, nothing to buy anyway.

So far eBay has been getting all my money today.

  • Are the “tracked” emails getting delayed? Bought @ 4.30pm but still have not received any emails …

    • +1

      it's in the T&C
Amazon tracking typically takes 1-3 days to report into accounts (Amazon tracking is not instant).

    • Read T&C

  • +1

I brought at 4.20pm, still have not received any "tracked" email as well.

    • Read T&C

    • Same…

  • Same, no tracking yet. I clicked through the CR app n then Amazon app opened, hope it’s ok

  • Those worried about tracking…

Amazon tracking typically takes 1-3 days to report into accounts (Amazon tracking is not instant).

  • I hope people ain't buying stuff exclusively due to the cashback. Cashbacks are always iffy at times, I just used it to buy what I would normally buy and only items that are currently reduced, or close to their lowest prices.

    • Never really had any issues over the years with SB or CR and if I have, they have both been pretty good in getting it sorted.

    • Well unfortunately most people would impulse buy things they don't neeed when a sale is on…. Guess that's how they get people haha. But if neeeding something for awhile certainly fine to wait.

I do find sales sometimes they are slightly cheaper as the prices are already bumped up or so things don't stack…rather than they're throwing them out the door dirt cheap.

      • And thats why interest will keep going up. We are all too rich

  • Has there been a delay in tracking transactions all day with cashrewards? Not just for Amazon..

  • +2

Amazon tracking typically takes 1-3…My order might arrive before it gets tracked 😅
