[Pre Order] Gaming PC: R5 5600X, RTX 3090 Ti, Asus B550, Corsair 4000D Airflow, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD $3199 + Del @ Aftershock PC

130

Prebuilt from Aftershock (Melbourne based).
Considering the price of 4080's alone and difficulty to buy 3090ti's, this seems like the sweet spot for value before pushing AM5, DDR5 and 4000 series architecture. Though would've like to see a 5700X for the price.

Specs:

  • Corsair 4000D Airflow TG Black
  • Asus B550 TUF Plus Gaming AX
  • AMD Ryzen 5 5600X | 4.6 GHz | 6 Cores 12 Threads
  • 32GB Klevv Cras X DDR4 4000MHz (16x2)
  • Zotac RTX 3090Ti Amp Extreme Holo 24GB
  • Aftershock Spectra Glacier Mirror 240mm
  • 1TB Samsung Gen4 SSD (R 7000 | W 5100)
  • 6 x Aftershock Omni ARGB Fans
  • 1050W Deepcool 80+ Gold
  • Windows 11 Professional 64 Bit
  • Next Gen Intel WiFi 6 & Bluetooth 5.1

The drawback is, it is a pre-order with a 15 day lead time.
The amount saved appears significantly more than the $651 listed.

Aftershock appears to have good reviews (4.8 on Google) and won techradar's best desk-top builder award.
Uncertain of their in house AIO (240mm radiator) quality. Appears to be a higher quality offering compared to other pre-built's I've seen advertised here for the price eg. no recommended upgrades adding significant dollars to the advertised price. All included ready to go with Windows.

They offer a 3 Year warranty (Pickup and Return)

This is part of Black Friday / Cyber Monday deals for 2022

    5600X and a 3090Ti ? seems a bit mismatched Y/N?

At 1440P and 4K (resolutions you'd be running if in the market for a 3090TI) from what've I've seen the CPU won't bottleneck it.

yea I was thinking that as well, but at this sort of price and decent specs for the rest of the system I would just fork out the extra 200-300 bucks and get a 8core or 12core

Yea, agreed. Definitely the weakness considering the other specs!

Shows the strength of the 5600 still though and a cheap way to buy in if don't have a current system with AM4 until AM, DDR5 and Ryzen 7 is more affordable!

its like swapping a ferrari engine into a camry

      • My Camry is pretty nippy…don't need a Ferrari engine…especially in WA…the nanny state

I personally would never buy anything Zotac…

  • Prefer a deal with AM5 and 3080

  • Despite the silly pricing of the 4080’s - wouldn’t it make more sense to go with that 4080 build currently offered by techfast? As far as I can tell (and I’m no expert) the upspec’d option has a better mobo and CPU and significantly more potent GPU for only ~550 more. Understandably that’s quite a jump for people I understand, but worth noting.

  • That's annoying. I was looking for RTX 3090 PC build and an Aftershock representative advised that they did not sell RTX 3090 anymore. Just a couple of days ago.
