But $48 is $48. Just picked up the last one from Corio, showing Stock at Moorabbin and Warun Ponds as of 2pm.

My right click broke after being abused by my three children.
Hardly normal wouldn't exchange my faulty remote within the 12 months warranty unless I had an RMA number from Nvidia and that chat process was going around in circles with Nvidia. I will sort out another and have it directly shipped by Nvidia to my home. Least it is another spare for my children to abuse.

Don't forget your Eneloops AAA at good guys commercial!

    For the record, if you bought it within the last 12 months, that's a Harvey Norman problem. They may be able to worm their way out of giving you a replacement, but it is 100% on them to deal with Nvidia for the RMA

      I called at 9am and the young fella spoke to his manager who said get an RMA number. I started a chat session with info but they were going around in circles.

      Didn't want to push the young guy, felt bad he was nice enough. Had my kids destroying Harvey Norman and whinging and didn't want to sit on chat. Rather fist myself tbh. 🤣

        I’ve got the 2020 in the bedroom. When I try pairing it with the 2017 it won’t connect.

          I'm pretty sure the remote can only pair to one device at a time, meaning you'll have to reset the remote every time you want to pair it to another device. You can't multi pair it.

          Try holding Back + Home + the Shield button (or mic for the remote) for 15 seconds to "reboot" the controller.

    If anyone's after an alternative, I've been using a Wechip G20 I bought off Amazon for $20 for the last month and a bit for Shield/Kodi and it's been really good. Has all the same buttons as this except the Netflix button and the remote itself feels nice.

    I bought the "unbranded" version from eBay. It is bigger, doesn't have a backlight and is a bit flaky. Would definitely recommend this OG version and this is a banger of a price (although it should never cost this much to begin with. The RRP is a joke).

    As much as I dislike this remote (it's fragile and the shape is prone to it rolling off the couch) I picked this up as a spare. I'm certain the current one will die in the next few months.

    This remote is really easy to take apart - I've gotten buttons stuck countless times when the remote gets knocked off the couch - just take it apart, reposition the buttons, and put it back together.

      I've got three of these. My theatre one now explodes on impact with buttons everywhere. I've put buttons in at least 25 times. The face is permanently lifted as I've stuffed a tab or two. I use rubber bands or tape to keep down. It works fine. Did you disassemble yours via the triangle at the IR end? Might go warranty on it as I've shelled out $48 already.

    If you have one that is working currently it is well worth buying a silcone cover for it on ali express. Might end up saving you $48 at some point in the future.
