Real review of the U7HAU Australia only model that is completely inferior to the well reviewed U7H model sold in the US

    U8HAU series is also compromised

    You have been warned

    • I think the 65 inch actually has a VA panel though, if you look at the specs it's listed as 6000:1 native contrast ratio. All the other sizes are 1200:1 except the 85 which is 4000:1

Whenever i see TV deals now all i see is something that's made to fail within first 1-3 years, it's a blessing to go over three 3 years without issues by today's standard of manufacturing.

The main question is, how much are you ready to spend on a TV and forget.

Having never owned one, can't comment on Hisense manufacturing quality

They don't even pass the first hurdle of offering like-for-like specs for the Australian vs global models so it's a blessing not to waste time to even consider their products

Given your Associated tag plus your line of commenting here, are you able to speak to the Hisense AU product managers and ask them to bring in a like-for-like 2023 range rather than palm off crippled models hoping to fool an unsuspecting Australian public?

    • ACL gives you up to 10 years of guaranteed use… Depending on how much you spend

    • My 65inch Hisense is going strong after four years, my parents 55inch is about seven years no issues. Must have just been lucky, been happy with them both and would buy again.

  • Having used some of the mid to large size Hisense TVs, I can honestly say they’re pretty shit. The internet connectivity, UI and speed is garbage.

Obviously there’s the argument that you get what you paid for given that it’s a lot cheaper than the competitors. However for like $200 more I’d rather get the Samsung Q60B. https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/samsung-75-inches-q60b-4k-qle…

    • That is a good really point for me actually, because I normally use PS5 and google TV for the system. I am happy if all the cost goes to the panel.

  • Hisense when they started out used to have great panels.. similar to what TCL is doing now.. I have a 75 inch 4k Hisense TV which I bought 4 years back ..has an LG panel cost me way lesser than a similar LG model.. both sound and smarts as in the OS suck.. but picture quality is excellent even now .. then once established they seemed to have done a switcheroo with cheap crap hoping the goodwill alone will work in Oz while the US still gets the good stuff.. their OS still sucks after 4 years and now even the picture quality sucks.. I am sure TCL will end up the same way a few years from now ..but if you get a cheap bargain.. a TCL currently is the way to go
