  • Are the batteries bad, as in you should buy a higher capacity battery?

    • For 1 hrs worth of work. It was finestill had battery to spare. Cant tell you how much but i know it was still going strong

      Powerstack is Dewalt's new battery technology. Apparently the 1.7ah Powerstack is more powerful and lasts longer than an old 2ah battery. For a drill or impact driver it'll be fine.

    I would personally wait for the costco deal with the bigger batteries

      Pretty sure it's against the law to mention a better deal and not link it.

      • It was a one-day deal last week for brushed motors and far bigger batteries for far less than this. Sad I missed it.

  • What about the Makita 18V Brushless 2 Piece 2x3.0Ah Combo Kit on front page for $379. Is OP better?

    What's this bonus battery about?
    This is the same DCK2050E2T-XE kit that Sydney Tools are selling, which can only be redeemed for a DCS355N-XJ Multi-Tool.

    FYI for those looking for stock:
    From Total Tools website on Chrome, hit F12 and run in Console:

    fetch("https://www.totaltools.com.au/totaltools_storelocator/checkout/stockcheck", {
      "headers": {
        "content-type": "application/x-www-form-urlencoded",
        "x-requested-with": "XMLHttpRequest"
      },
      "body": "postcode=2000&sku=..186052",
      "method": "POST"
    })
    .then(res => res.json())
    .then(json => _.chain(json.stores).values().map(function(obj) { return _.pick(obj, 'city', 'stockMessage') }).value())
    .then(console.log)

    Change the postcode to suit.
    Expand the JSON output to see the store city and stock message.

    • What's this bonus battery about?

      It's in the catalogue, both physical and online. I'm assuming it's a bonus from TotalTools directly.

        Just picked up a kit from the store nearby — thought it was time to finally make the switch from Ozito.
        You redeem the multi-tool from Dewalt, but get the bonus battery on the spot. I think the bonus battery is Total Tools specific. Have read great things about the Powerstack batteries — Project Farm's coverage sold me on it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DTKRK1RInFw

        • I have used ryoby for 5 years and nothing wrong. Just feel heavy for job whole day. Hows your new dewalt ? Is it light enought to work out whole day ?

          • @tommy2209: They're super light and still ridiculously powerful. I got the deal a month ago and have been loving it.

            • @Reek96: Men. Just grabbed these this morning in total tools

              3 batteries and multitools is on the way from redemption lol even the guy asked me where i got it, i said in ur catalogue mate. Look at it. Haha

              Used it straight for signage mounting ( screwing about 50 )

              Amazing ( super light, super powerful ) and the deal is super bargain

              • @tommy2209: Such a good deal. I got the same one but no bonus powerstack battery. With the three, you should be able to juggle them and run it consistently. The batteries charge pretty quick.

                • @Reek96: Yeah. What i see is only 30 mins for full charge and screws about 100 screws. Amazing this. Now the time for used ryobi go to marketplace

    Sydney tools now have this for $479 with the bonus battery
