AmEx Statement Credits: Spend $1000 or More, Get $100 Back @ Apple Australia

120

Got this email from Amex today. It's one of those Amex cashback kinda deals. So only for people with Amex unfortunately ☹️

Considering I bought 50 $30 gift cards from Aldi last week to get 10% off an iPhone 14 at Officeworks (you should have seen the receipt at the end of the transaction! Also thanks to the person at officeworks for being so patient putting through all those gift cards!!! 🤣) - I think this is a pretty good deal!

Email says:

Interesting. I got “Spend $800 or More, Get $80 Back @ Apple Australia"

    • that's strange 🤔

      • I received it and added it. It took sometime to login to Amex this morning.

    • on that on my Virgin card too, nothing on my Qantas or Amex Cashback cards

    • I got the same only on my Platinum Edge card. Got nothing on my Elevate Premium, which usually gets more/better offers.

  • Same as this deal but with different spend and save values - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/742398

      return and buy again

      • already opened, touched, tapped and swiped :~~

        • Buy a new one, return with the old receipt.

          • @SydOzber: Apple serialises their products to their invoice, you can’t do that old trick.

However, Apple has a holiday return policy in December lol. Can simply return it for a no questions asked refund.

        • I thought you could return opened Apple products? I remember I ordered a Macbook Air and Pro to see which one I liked.

I tried them both then I returned the Pro because I liked the Air more.

I have the 800/80 one as well. Can’t think of anything I would want from Apple at the moment though.

  • Does anyone know if you have a main card and a supplementary card for your partner and then save the offer to both cards whether you can get the cashback on both? I think the answer is yes but the wording seems a bit unclear on the Amex t&c’s.

If both cards receive the offer, then yes

      • Great, thanks.

  • My Qantas American Express Classic Card not targeted for either the $800/80 deal or this one.

Not feeling the love, AmEx/Apple :(
