BUPA is more expensive than AAMI in your case?

Bupa health insurance wasn't cheap, don't think it car insurance is cheaper.

Huge Red flag that the PBS link on final page takes you to a page with 2 different Comprehensive PBS, yet when getting a quote doesn't let you choose the type of Comprehensive

  • Worked out to be double what I pay AAMI for 3rd party fire and theft.

I tried this bullshit insurance quote last year as I'm a Bupa health insurance customer. Just a pure waste of time as they came up $300 more than RACV. The gall of these guys to price their unknown product so high above a premium insurer. Just unbelievable.

  • Don't service Tasmania

    • Just DIY, might need a lot of 5w-30 though.

      • didn;t know that. is for all cars in TAS?

  • Why post this if it’s more expensive than your current insurance?

    • +4

Probably because insurance is a very individualised product as every single person has different circumstances. So, it may work out to be a good deal for others.

  • $1300 ive never paid ofver 800 900. Always pay yearly and you get a discount. And compare first and quote others

  • AAMI decided to raise my premium from $800 to $1000 / year

AAMI seem to be cranking up the "loyalty tax". I just left them, after seeing "change on last year 16.2%" written on the statement. Moving to NRMA saved me nearly $400.

    • There is no NRMA in VIC though

      • Makes a lie of the "national" in "National Roads and Motorists' Association".

      • I thought NRMA and RACV are equivalent associated clubs just for different states?

    • +1

I just moved out from NRMA to AAMI, turned out AAMI is half price of NRMA with the same cover. Have been with NRMA for 7 years, they increase premium every year. Looks like all the insurance companies crank up the "loyalty tax", so we should shop around every year.

Yup. Just like home loans, mobile phone plans, NBN plans and others. You have to jump ship every couple of months or years, to get the best offers. I'll bet that of I go back to AAMI next year, they'll give a competitive price.

There are already brokers for insurance and home loans, now we need brokers for a lot more things.

The current "comparison" websites for phone plans are deceptive and useless, they all seem to be "here are the telcos who paid us the most" rather than "here's the cheapest plan for you".

  • Dude why you wasting my time… even with 2 months free these jokers are 50% more than my current insurance

  • Going to cancel before third month. Thanks
