I haven't heard good things about Woolworths car insurance… especially if you need to make a claim
    https://www.productreview.com.au/listings/woolworths-car-ins…

    • Oh god I just signed up last month.

      • I don't have any personal experience with Woolworths. I did have a good experience with Allianz paying out about $12k to repair hail damage on my Subaru a year or two ago. Personally I'd stick with one of the main insurers like Allianz, RACV, AAMI…and maybe Budget Direct or Youi

Been using them for years. Claimed once without an issue.

    • In my experience, their actual car insurance is rubbish. Had an incident in January this year. Waited 2 hours for a tow truck which never arrived. Ended up getting car home myself, cancelling claim and fixing outside of insurance.

I lodged a claim with them last year, no issues, very happy with how they handled everything.

The premium is always double with woolworths car insurance when I get a quote, one of the most expensive insurers.

  • +2

The previous offer when I did it was 20k points, in October 2022

  • Am I eligible if they price beat?

    Stop the press!

CAR20K gives you 20,000 points (worth $100) and the same 15% discount. Hope this helps someone!

    • Thanks for the heads up! Can you confirm when you've received the points?

      • +1

commencing from within 45 days of the first premium being paid.

Will be a while but provided promo code says verified and rewards pts comes up on the quote screen then should be good.

        • 45 business days plus public holidays.

      Thank you scar4ace.

I was miffed it went down to 15K, but got a quote anyway a week ago after trying all the old codes.
Re-quoted with CAR20K and got exact same premium and 20K pts. $25 more in my pocket. Winning.

    • I can't find where to input any codes? I've been right through the quoting process up until the last page where you put in your payment method??

      • Did you find it then?
It's on step 4/5 of obtaining quote (driver details I think) towards the bottom.

    • +1

Thanks for that! The code was dead when I tried previously. Used the 14-day cooling off period to cancel and submit again.

      Also updated the deal.

      • Hey mate, can you explain the cooling off period? I've got a policy renewing in late Feb and figuring out the best way to renew it with access to a promo like this.
        Cheers!

        • A cooling off period applies after you purchase an insurance policy. This gives you up to 10 days after purchase to cancel the policy at no cost.

  • +2

Was quoted $1768 vs $700 existing.
    Beyond greed and evil.

  • Damn, forgot to put the promo code. Anyone cancelled during the cooling off period (fees?) before and applied again? Might give them a call.

    • how did you go? just did the same myself 🤦 , looks like OP was able to last month.

      • No fees. They didn't charge me the first time after cancellation. Was able to register again no problems. Still no points though, but apparently have 45 days from when they took the amount.

  • Has anyone received their 20K reward points? I only received 1666 pts.

    • Not yet. Would the 1666 points be for the cost of your policy?

    • I also received 1666pts last Tuesday.

I'll be about 45 days post purchase using the CAR20K code this coming Saturday, so I'll let you know what happens.

      • Latest update: I've spoken with their customer service and they said the coupon had been applied to the account and the bonus points will be added to my account within 45 days of the policy start date.

        Now the waiting starts…

        • Nope … it's been 45 days and I haven't received my 20K points. I received 1666pts twice… so 3332pts = $16.66. I'll contact support to see if anything can be done.

          • @Big Dog: It's 45 BUSINESS days from the date of purchase plus public holidays. So I'll wait a little longer.

The offer has changed and you get 20k over 12 months (just read the fine print today).
It used to be 20k all at once, or the other offer of $100 gift card, but it's definitely different now.

      20k/12 = 1666 points / month.

      • Ah!!! That explains it. Thanks for digging through the fine print.

  • Confirmed CAR20K still working, same premium with and without the code.
