OP Notes

a. $7 off coupon applies at checkout. Make sure to tick or collect the coupon first before adding to cart - there is no actual code

b. Unlimited orders per account, one qty per order per coupon

c. If you have promotional credit in your account, DO NOT UNSELECT IT. You must pay with the promotional credit you have in your account. The coupon discount counts as "promotional credit" and unselecting promotional credit as a payment method will cause Amazon to charge you full price. If you ticked the coupon, Amazon will subtract the discount, then charge the remaining cost with your promo credit. Here's an example screenshot, where you see the coupon discount is applied, as well as the S&S discount, and the remaining payment in promotional "courtesy" credit

Coupon expires 25 November 2022 unless exhausted or sold out earlier

It doesn't matter, it was obviously a bargain.

  • +1

Thanks OP bought 2 of each size

  • +1

    purchased, Thank you OP!

  • I don’t have a sds drill, can you still use with normal hammer drills?

  • SDS Max option won't work on SDS Plus drills right?

    • Yes they do work with the adaptor.

    • +1

No, Max is thicker, can not plug in plus

      • Yeah i made that mistake already

      • I read it as Max drill with plus drill bits ?

  • +1

    Thanks OP, just bought

  • +1

Will never use but its OZB and on sale ….why not! Christmas is coming!

  • +1

Just bought it, now I'll have to wait for a deal on the right drill . Thanks OP 😊

  • +3

LOL WTF did I just bought?

  • +3

Just bought with no justifiable reason
Stocking filler for father in law lol

  • +1

Ditto - I already have a set I've never opened. Just bought this set. This is the OzBargain way…

  • +2

    Don't need these. Bought anyway.

  • +1

I may be wrong… But if you do have some promotional credit on your amazon account, then $7 off that will be used. So the item will not be $1.99 in the end? Or do I misunderstand how it works?
In other words, does it cost you any of your promotional credit or not?..

    • Look at the invoice. If its says $7 discount, you are safe

      • +1

In cases where the item is not sold by Amazon AU but sold by a third party, yes this is correct. The invoice discount will be exactly the coupon discount.

In cases where the item IS sold by Amazon AU, the invoice discount will be the coupon discount PLUS any promotional credits you have (as promo credit is eligible on orders shipped and sold by Amazon AU)

        Hope OP understands ^

    • +1

does it cost you any of your promotional credit or not?

No - If you have promotional credit, you must have it selected (as the $7 discount is "promotional credit" as well) but Amazon will not take a single penny off your credit (since this item is not sold by Amazon). See OP notes in the original post above

      • Technical correction/clarification. If you have promotional credit, it will be automatically selected as your payment method. So if you don't want to use promotional credit you need to unselect (change to regular payment method) to not use it.

        • +2

You’re wrong. If you unselect promotional credit, you will not get a $7 discount. In other words, if uou unselect promotional credit at checkout, you’ll be paying full price for these coupon type of deals

          Have a great day

          • -1

@I Smell Pennies: Incorrect. Musiclover is not referring to store promotional credit but rather personal promotional credit accrued on your account irrespective of store promotional credit.

            • +3

@Villainous: Amazon would be using and allocating the coupon discount first and this will be shown as promotional credit at checkout

Any original promotional credit that you have before will not be utilised and this can be check again once you have made your purchase. Just search for any items sold and shipped by Amazon AU

              • +1

@BargainsGrabber: "@Villainous: Amazon would be using and allocating the coupon discount first and this will be shown as promotional credit at checkout"
                Store coupon first, Correct.

"Any original promotional credit that you have before will not be utilised …"
Both of us are correct so let me clarify. Any promotional credit you have on your account and qualifies for your purchase (sold/shipped by Amazon AU) will automatically applied to your purchase. So if have have promotional credit and is not automatically applied, it does not qualify for said purchase.

So as I mentioned above, "If you have promotional credit, it will be automatically selected as your payment method."

            • +1

@Villainous: Amazon considers ALL discounts as "promotional credit". Even lightning deal discounts or top deal discounts - no different to coupon deals. There's no such thing as store promotional credit and personal promotional credit.

As I said, unselecting promotional credit effectively clears ALL discounts from your order.

If you still don't understand, I'm lost for words. If anything, you unselecting promotional credit simply means you'll be paying full price and another Ozbargainer will get a chance to nab a deal :)

              • -3

@I Smell Pennies: Again, Musiclover is asking about his own credit on his account. There is a difference between store discounts/promotions and personal credit.

Store promotions are selected before adding to cart/buy now, personal credit is selected/unselected at the payment method page.

                • +1

                  @Villainous:

Musiclover is asking about his own credit on his account

I know, and I address Musiclover's question precisely what happens

There is a difference between store discounts/promotions and personal credit.

                  Incorrect

Store promotions are selected before adding to cart

Incorrect, you can still add the coupon promotion AFTER adding to cart (but before checkout)

personal credit is selected/unselected at the payment method page

Can you please stop using the word personal credit. All discounts are called "promotional credit" - please understand that LOL. Again, feel free to unselect it - you'll just be paying full price :)

                • +2

@Villainous: I’m not too sure what is the confusion here

                  Regarding this question:

There is a difference between store discounts/promotions and personal credit.

There is no difference and they mean the same thing when you reach the checkout screen

Let’s use some numbers to understand the deal better posted by OP:

                  • The store is offering a $7 discount
                  • Musiclover has a $10 promotional credit
                  • The item from this deal originally costs $8.99

How it would show at checkout would be:

                  Price: $8.99
                  Promotional credit applied: $7
                  Order total: $1.99

Musiclover in this instance will still have an untouched $10 promotional credit which he originally has in his account before purchasing the product and can use it next time

                • +3

@Villainous: As mentioned above, Amazon classes all discounts, coupons, and credit issued by customer service under a large umbrella term called Promotional Credit which is understandably quite confusing.

Each discount/coupon/credit under the umbrella of promo credit will have its own terms. i.e. General promo credit that Musiclover is concerned over can only be used on items Shipped and sold by Amazon AU. In the case of this item, it is sold by MonkeyKingbar thus it is a third-party seller and therefore does not meet the terms outlined by the general promo credit.

The terms $7 discount for this item, (which remember is still called promotional credit) can ONLY be used for this item and nothing else.

So in the end when you're at the checkout you will only see a check box for $7 promotional credit which is referring to the $7 discount as outlined in the original post. The $7 does not come from promotional credit Musiclover obtained by other means.

                  Hope this clears things…

Nice find, scored 400mm one, very handy to have one, not sure about quality but 4 set for 4 bucks who cares.

  • Fun over:(

  • +3

    What did i just buy?

  • Would they work as a hand tool with a hammer for small jobs?

    • +2

Sure. Hitting the end of it is what the SDS drill does anyway. I'd probably wrap a roll of duct tape around it to hold though, would be unpleasant to hold while hitting otherwise.

      • Cheers! I missed the deal, but will keep it in mind if something comes up again.

  • Still seems to be some of the 3 piece sets available for $1.97 after coupon:

I saw the deal and rushed to buy without even knowing or looking what it was, but still missed it! Can’t beat the super pros!

If you don't want to miss out on these deals in the future, go to the link below, sort by Discount Percentage, and check it every day (and hope something good pops up). This deal was available since at least 4pm.

      • Hmmm $5 kitchen scales, $3.60 hydration bladder for backpack.

Thanks for the tip, this is very interesting.

        • +1

They're not shipped by Amazon, but they are legit (and delivery was fast too). A few other OzBargainers have bought it too.

Sadly can't make a deal post as it's not within Amazon posting guidelines

          • @I Smell Pennies: Well I did need some scales for the shed. Can't go borrowing the kitchen scales forever.

      • Thanks for the tip! Will keep an eye on it!

      • Thanks, but Deal on the page seems to be same for last 2 days so not often we get new discount coupons… Which is disappointing… !

        • Just how it is unfortunately. There's a new one up now.

          Save $10 on CableCreation Cable

          • @Wakrak: Yes after two days some might find it "often" but most don't nevertheless thanks for the link as I am sure it will keep unemployed or bored people engaged in checking every few minutes in a hope to find something new like the one you found after two days.. !

  • +3

I'll put them on the shelf next to my mitre 10 screws, my beneficiaries can work out what to do with them.

And book an appointment with a resp physician in 5 years

  • 250mm…

For someone who DIY once a while know it's close to useless when you have some thick slab and you only want to make a small but deep hole.

Get at least 350mm. If you got longer bit, then the attack angle is also reduced when trying to chisel tiles which is more effective.

  • Anyone got the item yet?

    • +1

yeah I got it the day after posting this deal

      • Anyone else?

        • Got it as well maybe two days after purchase.
