Free Sendle Label via eBay Labels Platform

330

They don't seem to be doing any more 50% off labels for eBay Plus members, but the free label is still around. Unsure if it is the same as the promotion that ran only during November alongside the $1 final value fee deal, but the T&C's are different.

  • The promotion runs from 00:00 (AEST) on Tuesday 1 November 2022 to 23:59 (AEST) on Saturday 31 December 2022 (“Promotion Period”). eBay reserves the right to cancel or extend the promotion at any time.
  • Post your next item for FREE ($0.00) with a Sendle postage service through eBay’s label platform during the Promotion Period.

  • For the avoidance of doubt, if you cancel the free label, you will not be eligible for an additional free label.

  • Only Sendle drop-off and Sendle pick-up delivery services will be eligible for the promotion.

  • A Sendle drop-off label may be emailed to you as soon as your item sells, if the buyer address is in a Sendle eligible delivery location.

PS: Hack - if you are buying multiple labels, you can get all of them for free as long as you check them out all at once. i.e. you can actually get more than 1 free label using this promotion.

Nice info on the hack, thanks OP

  • How do you actually get them? The link just goes to T&Cs. Do I have to be a seller? And do they work for overseas parcels? (surely not…)

    • +2

You have to sell something first on eBay, and then you will get the option to use the eBay postage label service. It will only apply for areas serviced by Sendle, so yes overseas is excluded.

      • Cheers

Sendle does do international though no? https://try.sendle.com/en-au/international

Does it have to be sent to the same place the ebay item is sold to?

        • +1

AFAIK Sendle via ebay doesnt support international postage. And yes, cant edit the address.

        • from a quick read of the terms n conditions, "sendle eligible locations" appear to include (most?) of Victoria, but only "metropolitan perth" (ie including Mandurah, but not much more in WA)

Man sending something is so expensive. I sent off a single SODIMM in the same state via Aus Post. Just put it in an envelope and total weight was like 22g. $9.70 ffs!

    • Where do you think those cartier watches come from? Lol

    • +3

(for future) Send it as a large letter. $2.20 + tracking (if needed). I sent ram today and pack it in an old DVD case for protection

      • I handed it over the counter and that's what they charged me ffs. I didn't think I had a choice :/

        • Typical Australia Post. If you go over 20mm it will be a parcel, but if its DVD case size (which is around the size of large in thickness) state you wish to send via large letter registered. They also sell pre-paid registered and express envelopes (C5 is DVD case size)

    • Could have shipped it for free with this promo ;)

      • I already used mine up

  • It's limited to one, no?

    • I think so, the first one is on them!

Do not use sendle worst courier in Australia

    • +3

I don’t think senile is a courier. Aramex and couriers please are the couriers that senile uses I think.

      • +2

A couple of things about senile. First off, they might be ok if you use parcel drop off. Secondly, wait I always forget the second one.

Anything I have purchased on eBay where the seller has used Sendle, I end up having to wait forever for it to arrive. Not a good service in my experience but YMMV.

    • +1

Yep. They used Couriers Please for one of my parcels and they kept leaving the "no one in attendance" tracking update when I'd been home the whole time. Took three attempts for them to finally deliver it, a week after the first time it was onboard for delivery.

      • Happened to me once as well so annoying since then I prefer the drop-off option

  • I did the 50% off Sendle postage costs with eBay postage labels (twice) last week, well usually its 3x times a year at half price for eBay plus members, so I'm assuming it's still available?, well so far on my numerous eBay accounts eBay has been offering me 1st postage label with Sendle for free, then the next 3 at half price, unless the offers have changed in the past week? 😉

  • So 3 x 50% off has finished you reckon.

Offer still shows up in mine when I try to purchase a postage label but can't seem to get it to apply. Was hoping it was a glitch or something given we're only a couple of days into this month but with eBay who knows. I can't really be arsed to get on eBay help chat they'll keep you online for hours just to give some BS copy and paste reply anyways.

  • I just contacted eBay support and they said this promotion is targeted.

  • Sendle couriers can be pretty useless when it comes to pickups. What's the point of selecting a day for the pickup when they end up coming 2 or 3 days later? I've had that happen a number of times now.

    • If they dont pick up in 2 days u can get a refund and theyll still deliver it. You have to manually contact them though, these refunds arent automatic.

      • Didn't know that. I'll have to remember that next time. Still kinda defeats the purpose of having a booking system if they don't even use it.

    • Use parcel drop-off instead you can check for nearby locations here.

      • If I was to drop it off myself may as well use Australia Post, kinda defeats the purpose of pickup from home and it's kinda useless having a booking system that they don't even look at.

        • They offer free signature and up to $300 insurance so sometimes ends up being a lot cheaper than Oz Post. Plus you get Sendle promos from eBay as well but yeah otherwise better off going with Oz Post.

          • @dins: Yeah that's true, but the real benefit for me is pickup which Aus Post doesn't do.

Sendle is the only reason why I do my online purchases in amazon if I can.

An absolute bunch of clowns running this company. Took 3 weeks for me receiving a parcel from WA to NSW

    • Amazon still uses Aramex though. Seems like Amazon is stricter with them though

  • Sold something last night and saw a promotion 'send three free Sendle labels up to 25 kg until end of December'

  • is the hack just having all your ready to post items open in sepreate tabs and just ready to click purchase label?

    • If you've sold multiple things, ebay will give u an option to bulk buy postage labels. Each of them will give you the option to select the free shipping label.

  • hmm have you tried this? because i have done this before and it failed for every label but 1

    • You need to use the bulk label purchasing, not opening them in separate tabs.

      • yep i have done this in the past and and it failed the way i mentioned above

  • Looks like the 3 x 50% off Sendle labels offer for eBay Plus members has changed to 3 free ones for this month. Cheers eBay good stuff! 🍻

  • Weird it only lets me select the 250gram parcel, tried changing dimensions and everything but nothing works

Guess I won't get to use this
