Extremely low price on these robot vacuum cleaners from Yeedi (Evovacs sub-brand) that were $349.99 & $389.99 on Black Friday. The more expensive model has an attachable mop that oscillates back and forth quickly so it scrubs the floor instead of dragging a sponge around that may cause streaks.

Both feature 3000Pa strong suction, carpet/hard floor detection, 3D obstacle avoidance, floor mapping, multiple cleaning modes including carpet boost, auto empty bin support (not included), 220min battery life and a phone app for control.

While the auto-empty station isn't included, Yeedi use the same auto empty station as Ecovacs so if it goes on sale again you can use that.

Works good just taking to long to map one room battery also drains faster

  • Mine says arriving Saturday so hasn't shipped yet

Received mine (Pro). Build quality is similar to the Deebot 920 I had. Even after 3 attempts, it has not created a map for the house though. Amazon has an extended return date till Jan 31st for the item, so I'm thinking of trying to get it create one and then see how it performs. It performs a quite good clean without the map (just goes around and cleans the area where it is).

    • First attempt will be with out map once finish all than will give you prompt to do save map i thought same but than get to know more

Try again but let it finish whatever shitting doing by robovac better leave the house one you strated robovac😂

Tell me about it! That’s exactly what I did this morning. I sent it out for mapping and put all the small stuff up and went to work. But it still didn’t complete it! Another try may be. When I returned I saw it in front of one of our cupboards - the wife kept it open and I think the robo got confused 😅

        • When you see mapping this shit will make you confuse why half way went to toilet and comeback 🤦 just can not understand once fully finish mapping will prompt you saying is that all clean and mapped in room according to app view and room or area whatever you mapping? If yes just press yes and name it but i tell you if you keep checking how this shit map you fill like hit head on wall 😂

Is there a way to pause and resume mapping or do you just have to let it completely go until it goes flat?

Let mine run for 2.5hrs, and it got confused so the map was out and it couldn’t get back to the station.
Doesn’t seem to have kept all of the mapping progress either.

    • Has done this three times for me. I'm probably going to return it next week, real shame as the vacuuming function is actually surprisingly good, just let down by atrocious software.

      • Yeah app is very basic and complicated but overall is good mainly vacuum function very good with low setting; battery goes flat quick

  • Has anyone here managed to get the dumbass vac to map their house completely? My place isn't too large (3BR, 2 living areas, dining, kitchen, laundry & 2 bathrooms) and have tried 4-5 times to get the place mapped but the vac shits the bed after 2.5-3hrs every time and has to be manually returned to base with all previous mapping data lost.

Had two attempts. No map yet.

    • Yep. I moved all the chairs etc out to give it a free roam. Vac rooms by map now working fine. I did close off our main bedroom, en suite and study as I have too much chucked on the floor for any robot to handle.

I have this and the D9 Ive been using for the last week+ so thought I would share a few thoughts and will return one soon.

    • The mopping function on the Yeedi will avoid all carpets in that mode. This is either a pro or a con as the D9 can sometimes get caught more often with its mopping pad on when on carpets (the D9 will do carpets and hard floors with mopping pad). I somewhat prefer the ability to leave the pad on and know my entire house is done (even if the occasional jam from the pad).
    • The Yeedi mopping function is superior to the D9, but probably less than expected as the microfibre pad is very thin whereas the pad used on the d9 is a thick microfibre pad it drags around. For stuck on marks on your tiles, the Yeeti would likely be superior. The Yeeti's mopping pad is easier to install when on the ground, where the D9 is more finicky and sometimes requires you to pickup the vac. I think both if done regularly would keep tiles clean.
    • All have similar features such as additional suction when it detects carpet, adjust water usage used during mopping, return to base when battery low etc. The D9 has a slightly larger water and dust tank however - not that its noticeable but the Yeeti can be paired with the additional dust pan at the base station.
    • The D9 has superior mapping and cleans the house in a methodical way once its done a route of the entire outside of the house - it goes back/forth in areas. The Yeeti still achieves a clean but its more random in how it achieves it.
    • Build quality is pretty good on both, would give the slight edge to the D9. The dust pan is easier to remove on the Yeeti as comes with a handle.
    • Apps have similar features - the D9 probably gives slightly more details of its cleaning path. But both work
    • The d9 does have a camera which sticks up from the unit, I found this could be a problem when it goes under furniture as may get stuck - where the Yeeti is flat on the top
  • For those who are not aware - this thing has two modes:

    1. Quick Mode - where it just runs around by cleaning and mopping wherever it has access to. Does not create a map doing so and the edges are not cleaned perfectly.

    2. Advanced mode - starts from the station on a full charge and tries to map the house. Suggested to have the cleaning power set to low so that mapping can be done quickly.

While I have seen that the quick mode is pretty great for what it is, the advanced mode has not worked for me at all even after 5 attempts, still no map :( Too bad since it cleans and mops really well. I'm conflicted now whether to return it or not. I have a pretty small space (2 BR Unit, Kitchen and Lounge with one Bathroom). I'm thinking of giving it a few more tries since the return date is Jan 31st.

Not having a LIDAR is probably the detriment. Such a shame since it is quite a nifty unit for $250 (no chance it is worth the actual listed price of $700 today).

Well I logged into the app today after doing two mapping runs yesterday with no progress on the map bulding and all of a sudden I had a map! (still with only the two mapping runs I did yesterday).

Maps seem very accurate and navigation is working very well now that I have one built. Happy camper now.

  • received mine yesterday. Great vacuum. So far the experience is great.

One issue though - how do i connect via Alexa? I tried to search for the yeedi skills on alexa app - it cannot find any skills. Has anyone managed to connect to Alexa?

    • +2

I could only find the Alexa skill on the US Amazon site so I contacted Yeedi via Amazon and they apologised and said it's not available in Australia yet, they are hoping to have it available within the next year.

They offered me a $20 refund for the trouble so I took it.

      • ahhhhh. ok that US amazon thingy now makes sense. i was wondering why i cannot find the skill on my devices. thanks for the heads up!

        • No worries. It wasn't the end of the world for me not having Alexa, but I'll take the $20 and you should ask the question for your free $20 too :)

It is supposed to work with Google Home but I haven't bothered yet. As long as I can control and schedule it via the app, that's the most important part.

          • @bonezAU: I have asked the seller that same question regarding alexa - no reply yet - so hopefully they will respond and give me that free $20 too. A bit cheesy on my part but :)

  • For those with the Oscillating Mop model, do you think its worth buying at the current price of $389?

Also, can you create more than 1 map for a 2 storey house? There was discussion elsewhere that suggested Yeedi was going to implement multi level maps in a software update.

    • isn't it $300?

      $549 with a $200 voucher

You can also then get the $20 refund by asking about the Alexa control

      • the non Oscillating Mop model is $300. but the one with the Oscillating Mop model is $699.99 with a $310 voucher, so $389.99

    • Nope. It's trash, hasn't mapped my place despite trying around 10x.

      • Mine is going good happy with purchase

        • Are you able to create more than one map in the app?

          • @ds0418: Not tried second map but over xmas holiday ill do some more play on yeedi ill update you 👍

    • Yeedi can make 2 maps(I don't think it is not available for the multi-level map), but if you want to use it upstairs you have to move the charge station as well so it is a bit complicated.
