Took inventory of my stock of 5W-40 engine oil and realised I would run out of stock after two more oil changes, and sure enough SuperCheap has an OK deal on this excellent engine oil. I need 6L per change and this size is perfect for me, may not be so good for those that need 5L. OEM approvals MB229.5, BMW LL-04, API SN/CF ACEA B3/C4, JASO MA. Can also be used when 5W30 weight oil is required as per vendor Penrite.

Since I can't get Nulon 10W-40 full syn anymore I decided to switch to Penrite. Already using Penrite oils for my bike and been happy with them.
Interesting to note their car oils such as https://www.supercheapauto.com.au/p/penrite-penrite-full-syn… are JASO MA certified and thus suitable for motorcycles with wet clutches and often a lot better value than oil marketed for bikes. In fact the specs in the product data sheets are the same:

anyone know why 10w30 is rare to find discounted? trying to change from 5w30 and see if i am losing oil on cold starts….
They use to be on special at repco for $45ish i remember?
Same $44 from sca 3 years ago. Probably inflation and $56 is the new low.
