$700 Gift Card with Telstra $69 100GB Per Month 24-Month Plan (New/Port-in Customers, in-Store/ Callback) @ JB Hi-Fi.

Works out to be $39.83 a month.

There used to be a 12 month plan with $500 gift card but this hasn’t come up for I believe over a year. Have to be quick as expires tomorrow (7th December).

Not really a deal mate because it’s 24 months

Its still a deal. If you are signing up to a Telstra plan on Telstra's website etc, you don't get a $700 gift card. 12 months or 24 months, its still a deal. Is it a great deal vs the $500 GC for $69 a month over 12 months? No, but its better than what they've been offering of late

        Its still a deal

        Just not a bargain.

no, it's only a 'deal' because it's Telstra network. Numerous times people clown other users who post Optus 24month 'deals' simply because it's anything other than Telstra…whom may i add has absolutely lost ground on their metropolitan coverage..its absolutely awful and patchy in SE Melbourne, yet amazing in rural. If you sign up via Telstra direct, you are paying $68 for 180gb of data on a month-to-month plan.

Can you convert the gift card to cash can you?

    • You're eventually going to buy something from JB using your own cash. The gift cards don't expire. Whether you're using it on a phone in a few years from now, or buying new headphones, that cash will be used eventually.

Plus, if any other stores are having good deals on items you like, you can always price match to JB just to use that gift card.

  • The black Friday deal was better value IMO, but close enough.

    • What was the black Friday deal?

      • $89 for 24 months with a $1200 GC.

I think I actually prefer this deal because my work pays for my mobile plan but only up to $78/mo.

  • this works out near enough equivalent to a $1200 gift card for a 24 month x $99 plan (but less data, and less required to be spent at JB to make it worth it)

It's basically the same as a $2400 gift card on a $200 per month plan

will 12 months ever come back?

    • 12 months is still there it's just a $300 gift card instead :(

  • And don’t forget to ask Telstra on the chat for a $10/month port in credit ;) may have to cycle through a few agents!

    • I tried this multiple times but couldn't get it past anyone. Any tips on what to say

      • +1

From experience and what I’ve read in the forums, the best bet is to do it on the day of the port. Just ask that you’d like the port in credit applied to account as advised, if they don’t budge just ask how much to cancel the plan. People have had to go through 3 or 4 agents to get it. Good luck!

        • yep went through 4 agents last time, try and spread it out over the day though.

    This offer is rat poison.

  • Any deals on the $99 month plan?

    • +1

Yup, just started. $1200 bonus gift card on the $99 plan, ends 11/12

  • Patiently awaiting a 12 month deal.

    • It's be great but I'm thinking those deals are gone. Let's hope.

  • Glad to be out of the Optus trap with no overseas calls, will not fall into another long term contract with voucher trap. Just buy the phone, get a better moth to month contract and save the money long term.

  • Your link now shows the new promotion that runs until 31st of December. The gift card has now changed to $300 for the $69 plan, and $800 for the $99 plan.
