      I know…

Cool. It was also for anyone else reading the deal who may not be aware.

        • +2

This is a great offering; a lot of people has stolen these TCN cards and now taking them back and buying them at the discounted price. The last promotion, I went to 4 coles stores - all sold out.

            @AircraftFreight:

a lot of people has stolen these TCN cards and now taking them back and buying them at the discounted price

This why we cant have nice things.

          • +4

@AircraftFreight: Some selfish people bought more than 5 cards and not follow the rule and others miss out. These promo only make a few people happy and majority can’t find any. Retailers should update the requirement to only allow Flybuy/ Everyday Rewards members to purchase at a discounted price as system can detect if they reach the limit of 5 cards.

            • @ozvictor: Unless U have a few edr/flybuys accounts?

          • +7

@AircraftFreight: I didn't want any cards but at 7am this morning, my local Coles was already sold out. People are just finding ways to beat the system and the vermin that clean out the shelves.

It's embarrassing how many of these cards pop up on OzB classifieds and Marketplace, at 5% off face value. There is a special place in hell for those people, right next to the PS5/XBSX scalpers.

            • @sinners007: Saw a group of people all buying 5 of the $100 vouchers at coles today. Figured it must be to resell them.

              • @Ten: I was at my local coles at 7:01am and can confirm it was the staff who stashed the $100 vouchers for themselves.

    • I never see/get notifications about these 15% deals. Are they advertised in store, online or catalogues?

      • +1

All 3. Have a look at the latest catalogue and it’s in there. This is also a display I am standing in front of right now (with plenty left in stock)

    • Is it TCN kids or Ultimate Kids currently on discount in Coles?
      https://www.coles.com.au/catalogues/view#view=catalogue2&sal…

      • You’re 100% correct. I didn’t realise their was 2 competing brands with the same card names (Him, Her , Kids etc)

  • +2

For the Coles deal today, my wife and I took 5 each at 850am. A Coles staff came and took all the remaining cards with her right in front of us.

    • +1

It was an inside job all along!

      • saw the same thing at my coles. they were keeping it inside the checkout draws. xmas bonus maybe?
if you doing it at least do it so customers cannot see it.

    • +2

At my local they moved all to the Service desk for a supervisor to process and enforce limit etc.

      • That's a good idea. The supervisor would need to be someone who cares about fairness and is customer obsessed. Most just wouldn't care.

        • +1

Yeah when you are making minimum wage your care factor is pretty low. Not saying this is how it should be but just saying how it is.

        • That couldn't be further from the truth. Limits are highly enforced at each and every Coles store. I had a manager sneak up behind me in the middle of a transaction to put a stop to it all after a dibber dobbing checkout clerk immediately called the manager when they somehow spotted me again in the store.

          • @ben5000: You found the snitch. You know what to do.

            🙃

            • @xoom: Snitches get stitches.

  • Also 10% off Nintendo eshop gift cards (listed in the same email).

  • Too little, too late?

  • No TCN Restaurant card (orange folder). The good food just doesn’t seem as flexible.
