It's hard to justify these because the Nintendo ecosystem is just so pricey and anti consumer. But hey, a deal is a deal for those who needs it.

    • I have bought some Nintendo Switch physical games. I sold the game after I finish it and got most of my money back lol.

        Yes, physical games.

These are gift cards for eshop. That's the issue.

        • I mostly use eshop for discounted offers found on deku deals and long standing multiplay games. for everything else, physical game cards are good as you can sell them on marketplace

      • Well i've made profits even… (bought and sold on marketplace)

If you're buying AAA and Nintendo titles yes. They have a lot of indie games that are cheap and good, though a lot that cheap and trash too. I generally get party games for mine for when people are over.

      • The same games can be bought from steam or competing platforms for usually cheaper.

But the more important thing is that Nintendo haven't had a history of back wards compatibility. Once we moved to the next console, these games will be stuck on these platforms. That's it.

And furthermore, things like steam deck or win max 2 killed any competitive advantage the switch has. Full pc support means things like mods or accessibility options are supported.

        • Fair, i never play local multiplayer games on PC so i like the Plug and Play of the switch. You'd be surprised at how cheap a lot of the indie games are even compared to PC ive bought quite a few for between $1.50 -$5 that I would say I have got my moneys worth from. Backward compatibility probably will be an issue but sony is just as stubborn as Nintendo and they caved to backward compatibility so wouldnt be surprised if they follow suit hopefully.

@Damannation: I hope that they will as well, but every decisions they have ever made in recent memory is as asanine as they ever had been. I'm convinced they detest their fans. I hope to be proven wrong as well, I own quite a few indie games as it was the only portable gaming device for a few years.

  • Probably already sold out like the TCN gift cards… going to see if I can buy a few now at Southland VIC

    • usually gets stocked up on the day if its like TCN

  • Do they sell, like, a card if you wanted 12 month access to Nintendo Switch Online and would that work in USA if so?

    • +1

a card if you wanted 12 month access to Nintendo Switch Online

You can use these Nintendo eShop Card to pay for Nintendo Switch Online.

Stack this with a few other offers and if you're lucky you'll be able to buy games from the 2010s for $50

  • Can you use gift card to pay at Target?

    • The answer is no.

I wonder if you could combine this deal with recent Onepass $10 credit voucher?

    • Wondering this too!

  • Can you use this to buy the yearly Nintendo switch subscription??
