Vivid Hoverboard Kart Kit V2 $20 + $10 Shipping ($0 C&C Excluding NT & TAS) @ Scooter Hut

180

If you are anything like me and still have your hoverboard collecting dust after the fad ended/were scared of the battery blowing up after hearing about numerous cases, well now is the time to dig it out and give it an upgrade!

These kits used to be expensive back in the day and still go for around ~$100 at most places, so for 20 bucks I think there is value in giving it some new found love.

Made using as combination of aluminium and plastic so quality should be pretty good.

Hoverboard is not included.

Click and collect available, otherwise 10 dollars shipping (for myself anyway).

Good luck and stay safe.

This way, if it explodes it will just make it look like you are going really fast with the flames coming out of the back.

  • Cheers OP. Got 2 as presents for Christmas.

This would be an awesome base for making an old school go-cart for the kids. Find an old pram from "bring out your dead" as the back wheels and your away to the races. Jerry-rig the handles to brake the back wheels and you have stearing/brakes.

    • Great idea.

we could start Oz Bargain Go kart championship lol

  • Is this specific to any particular hoverboard brand? Or will any generic one work?

    • +1

I have a generic one and it fits fine.

As per their description "Compatible with most standard style 6.5" - 10" hoverboards and absolutely compatible with the current Vivid range available at Scooter Hut."

      • Awesome, thanks! Looks like i'm grabbing a kart kit then

  • Great! Now where can I get a cheap "hover" board. I can't bring myself to say hover as the thing touches the ground. Is a 2nd hand one on FB marketplace worth the risk?

These don’t work on water… unless you’ve got POWER!

    …after the fad ended

WHAT? Please don't tell my daughter. That's what she wanted from Santa.

  • I know that it highly depends on the "hoverboard" you put in it, but can such "hoverboards" push and adult (or more than eg. 60 kgs) or is it rather for kids?

It is possible to turn this into a racing game chair?

  • My kids love these, bring unused hoverboards back to life

  • Refunded. No explanation why.
