      Did you know Google Home Mini was free to everyone back in 2019?
      They were flying all around OZB and reddit for $3. I still got 5 sitting in my garage unopened.
      I opened 2 and they are surprisingly still going strong.
      5 of them will probably last another 10 years.

        You seem confused. The description is from Amazon. “is our most popular”….“our” is Amazon. So Google Mini’s have nothing to do with this statement.

    There has been no news that Amazon are discontinuing development as far as I can see.

    My understanding is they are simply cutting back on the brute force insane amount of staff they had on Alexa which were not really producing any meaningful results.

      Yup, Amazon Alexa division has 10,000 staff which I think is too bloated. Twitter total employees is half of that before Elon comes in.

    It probably means you haven't done anything with it.

    I would assume most people own air conditioners, fans and other electrical devices that they might want to control.

  Bought one at JB a few days ago also at $19. Seems to work better than my old Google Home Mini.
