Have to do a credit check in exchange. Probably a bad deal then?

    • @brownking
Hi, I can't find out where the "steppay.epic with our shopping partner" deals tab in the "For you" Section. Is there have any other way that we can just search the exact website or activity on the Google?

      • @Darrenlian Not sure mate, it was the third entry for me in the for you section. Maybe youve already redeemed another offer for Uber?

    • Is there have the link for me to click?

  • Is this the way they are collecting or farming credit card details, before they go busted? Just saying from past expereince.

  • On checkout, I get a message "Add -$xx.xx to save with Uber One" where x is the amount over $20.
Delivery fee still there and not being discounted. Anyone else getting this?

    • did you read what you signed up for…? It is also in the description of this deal.

Unlimited $0 Delivery Fee on Uber Eats
On eligible orders $20+ for food, grocery and more (Service Fee applies).

      https://www.uber.com/au/en/u/uber-one/

    • I got the same, fixed by using the same payment method as the mastercard I signed up to uber one with

      • Thank you! You're my hero, couldn't figure it out why it wouldn't work

      • I get this error on the card I signed up with but will allow me to get the $5 off using a card I've since deactivated.

Haven't used this deal once. Perhaps that's a good thing.

Worked yesterday for me on my Citibank Premier card. Today I got an email from Uber actually telling me about the deal, clicked on the link, used the same card as yesterday and got an extra 6 months on top. I’ve now got Uber One till Dec 2023.

I have a bunch of gift cards for uber, and if they go under, all my cards are wasted right? Maybe I need to start gifting to friends or selling just in case uber dies next year..

  • I think last time I managed to get 6 months free with 28 degrees card so won't work this time, and doesn't work with Westpac Altitude Platinum 😟

    • My normal Westpac Altitude card worked, strange.

      • Lucky you!

  • It worked for me, thanks.

  • Worked on Citi Premier. Thanks OP!

  • Doesn't work on Citibank Rewards and Coles Platinum CC. Tried different browser/incognito.

  • FYI: Wife got same offer on her account today via email and got another 6 months on top of this OzB offer which I've activated yesterday so total of 12 months. I used her link on my account and also got another 6 months! :)

  • Somehow added it twice and now have 12 months…

  • Took a couple of tries but it worked on a CommBank card! Thanks!

  • Thanks, worked for me

  • CBA Diamond Mastercard works… thanks OP :-)

Anyone tried to stack the StepPay 6 month offer on top of this (rather than instead of) to get 12 months?

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/732913

  • Finally got it to work with Citi card. Thanks OP.

  • I managed to get the free Uber One subscription for 6 months with Citi Prestige MC.

But it seems the Uber One benefits (free delivery and lower service fee, etc) are only applied when you pay with the MC. So if I pay with another card (e.g. a corporate Amex for work meals) there is no way for me to get the Uber One benefits.

Is this the same for everyone else?

    • Yeah usually, you can get around this by buying ubercash (Giftcards)

It works out better to have it loaded up when he 20% off happens

      • hm , doesnt work for me

  • +1 Citi Prestige

  • Does anyone know how to actually cancel Uber One? The options to çancel arent even displayed in my app or website, its extremely deceptive, i cant even work out how to email support.

    • +1

on the app, go to Account -> Uber One -> Manage Membership (at bottom of page) and there's an option to "End Membership"

    • Hah, in my case you file a support ticket and spam them back and forth for a week whilst they try to tell you that you can only unsubscribe for a 24 window after the renewal period but it won't apply if you don't cancel it 48 hours before that period.

Took me several days and about 10 messages back and forth then they finally removed it for me.

  • Anyone else getting the error "Use an eligible Mastercard to get this offer."

Trying to use the CommBank Ultimate Rewards card which I thought was eligible?

  • Got charged 9.99 by Uber today even though my Uber account states “free membership” until July. Any idea how to correspond with Uber about this?

    • -4

      no

    • Did you remove the Mastercard from your wallet?

  • +1

Anyone else not actually getting free delivery on uber Eats orders?

    • I've only done grocery orders since gaining free Uber One and free delivery has been working

    • +1

Unlimited $0 Delivery Fee on Uber Eats
On eligible orders $20+ for food, grocery and more (Service Fee applies).

Not all stores are eligible, but the ones that are will be listed. Also make sure you meet the minimum spend.

    • +1

Yes, as others have said, has to be >$20.

Although if you get a buy-1-get-1-free item that's normally $10 or more individually, then the free delivery still works (because without the BOGOF promo, it'd still have been $20).

  • Just tried a second time with a new Citi Premier to try to extend the 6 months I got with my CBA card.

After I login I get a message "That offer has already been used. Unfortunately the offer is no longer available."

So no doubling up to 12 months for me :-(
