  • What's the PCIe NVMe equivalent of a mx500? e.g. this one for example: https://amzn.asia/d/fcPTdd8?

    • P2 is QLC, maybe Crucial P5 would be closer

  • Been waiting for an MX500 2TB, bought one, thank you OP

  • Seeing 2TB SSD here Crucial BX500 2TB 2.5" SATA SSD for $169 and $4.95 shipping. better deal? https://www.jw.com.au/crucial-bx500-2tb-3d-2-5-nand-sata-ssd

    • +1

Was $169 delivered at Amazon so they're just matching. However it's a worse SSD as you're getting no DRAM cache and potentially QLC flash, so it would be slower.

      • Pretty sure the BX500 uses TLC, but definitely no DRAM.

        • The 1TB and 2TB versions are usually QLC. They quietly added it years ago.

  • Thanks, grabbed one. Time to upgrade the ol' 120GB one on the 20212 Mac mini server, I think. Pains me to still be buying a SATA drive in almost 2023 tho, ha!
