      Likewise, but the eligibility criteria sound pretty generic - nothing about selected users:

      2.1. The Member is eligible to receive one (1) Bonus upon meeting the following conditions (the ‘Eligibility Criteria’):

      2.1.1. The Member is an accepted member of the Plenti Lending Platform on or prior to 7 December 2022;

      2.1.2. During the Offer Period, the Member must transfer AUD$1,000 or more into their holding account on the Plenti Lending Platform and place orders in the Plus Market or Flex Market such that a total of at least $1,000 is ‘on loan’ to borrowers in the Plus Market or Flex Market; and

      2.1.3 The Member’s must continue to have that money ‘on-loan’ (and not withdraw or transfer any amount back to the Member’s Portfolio), in the Plus Market or Flex Market for a minimum period of three (3) consecutive months in order to be eligible for the Bonus.

      2.4. Any Member who holds an AFSL, acts as an authorised representative under another person’s AFSL, carries on business as a financial advisor or planner, or otherwise carries on a financial services business in accordance with the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth) is ineligible to receive a Bonus.

        how can you invest in Flex (aka 1 month) market and at the same time satisfy this condition?

        • Yeah I'm struggling with this as well. It seems they could easily return the money to you after 1 month and then void the bonus, unless there's a way to specify you want it loaned for a specific term (eg 3 months)?

          • @slickvic: Use the reinvestment mechanism, however technically it still works via the holding account. And there’s a risk the reinvestment is not matched with “borrowers”.

            Clear as mud.

  • Funding does a higher return for < 12 months. 7-7.35% for 3-12 months depending on opportunity. I think their min is $50,000 though.

    • Where you are seeing this?
      I'm seeing the Plus market at around 6% - with a 3-7 year term. Unless I'm missing something …

  • Sounds all Egyptian to me.

  • I never got my join bonus when I joined a couple of years ago. I used it for a year then realised my other investments performed much better so pulled everything out.

  • If a recession hits, these types of lending might get risky.

    • they've been around since 2015 and went OK during covid in 2020

    Investors are taking all the risk. Reminds me of AAA rated sub prime bonds.

    I put my 1k in at 6.5% plus the 10% they give… 16.5% is solid. Can only see them fold if I prolonged recession hits… I wouldn’t suggest putting your life savings in but personally I have 3 odd k in and have had it for a couple years. Use to be called rate setter.
