You have to serve this machine first by lifting everything on the floor, remove all the code. Then it start to clean up. After cleaning up you have to clean up some area it doesn't reach. Putting things back is extra. You have to empty the bin in this machine. If it has mop function you need to wash the mop and clean the hair tangling in the rotating head. You spend thousand dollars and do extra job serving the machine. I DO NOT recommend this kind machine. It simply create extra work.

I would have to move things with a regular vacuum (maybe not to the same extent), I have to get the hair out of my regular vacuum head and I have to wash my mop head when I mop.
Don't really see your point. It makes a bigger job smaller. I don't agree that having to maintain the vacuum is extra work as you would do it anyway.

I disagree. I've had one since July and it is excellent. Much better than the $300 Viomi it replaced. Suction and patching and app is much better. Auto empty dock is great. I schedule it to run daily and empty the bin every few weeks. Your issues are generic ones for any robot vacuum. If you leave cords lying around everywhere then yes you'll have problems.
A good Robovac (such as the S7) actually promotes clutter-free floors and ensuring family members keep the place tidy. I know so many people who also love their robovac and they get compliments from visitors all the time.
What a dumb take. Yes itās not fully āautomatedā but it is substantially less effort than having to mop and vacuum yourself. And half your complaints need to be done regardless.

Waiting for the max ultra with mop heater module to come on sale but never see it. Can't justify 3k for a vacuum but willing to pay around 2k.

So itās just this functionality on top of what this current deal offers? Even it were to come down to $2K, why would anyone want to pay an extra $900 compared to this deal? Is it complex to get that mop pad out of the machine and wash/air dry? I am new to these machines, and have ordered my first through this deal.
@interstellar: In terms of S7 MaxV Ultra vs S7 plus? As far as I am aware, the main difference is that the S7 MaxV Ultra comes with obstacle avoidance with cameras, LEDs and lasers as opposed to the infrared system used by the S7 which results in better obstacle avoidance. The other major difference is the self cleaning base with the Ultra.
I personally have neither and have a Dreame D10 Plus I got for ~$500. I don't find it particularly onerous to take take out the mop each time to clean and dry it, but it does mean it's less of a set and forget system than the S7 MaxV Ultra offers.
Whether the extra $900 is in the eyes of the beholder.
@JR63: I'm just so busy all the time with work and have two dogs that shed like crazy. They also track mud in from outside. For me, I'd be happy to pay another 1k for simply rarely having to worry about it. The mop can go smelly if left to air dry, particularly in winter.

There are bagless ones. Problem is you need a cyclonic filtration design to have proper bagless function. The ones like these are just simple bagged designs like miele, which is also good if not better.

The Q5 brush is much better for carpet and pet hair than the rubber s7 brush.
Would you recommend just 1 or do they wear out quickly so need multiple?

I wouldn't use this brush on wool carpets as it's too harsh. The rubber brush that comes with the S7 works perfectly well and you don't remove a layer of pile every time you send Robbie out.
