    Can this mop an average size/dirtiness house without the mop pad getting too dirty during a cleaning cycle? Or do you need to mop smaller areas at a time since it can't wash the pad during a cycle?

      I wash my mop pad per area. I don’t think its a good idea to use the same dirty mop pad on the whole house.

        So if you want to automate it when you're out you'd just need to select one area to be mopped and the rest just vacuumed until you're home again and have changed the pad?

        The ultra is too much extra but considering whether something like that Ecovac Omni X1 with the mop washing dock is worth the extra so it can wash the mop multiple times in the cycle and the whole house can be mopped when you're out.

          I usually automate the vacuum only. I use the mop when I am around. You'll need to get the mop pad damp anyway before use. It takes a while for the water in the robot to dampen the whole mop pad.

    Ooof this or the S7 MaxV Ultra? First Roborock and since it's only 1yr warranty leaning towards this deal to try it out. Dropping over $2k with 1 yr warranty feels too risky.

      I am in the same boat at the moment. Have been watching numerous youtube reviews comparing between this, MaxV Ultra and Deebot X1 OMNI. However the other 2 are 1k more than this. The only differences between them are S7 doesn't have mop pad auto cleaning and also front camera for better obstacles avoidance.

      If I were to spend 2k I think I will stick with the OMNI but am still can't decide whether I want to go with this or the X1 OMNI.

        I hear ya. I think at this price point I'm going to give the S7+ a go. We really want it for the better mop function as our Eufy one just drags water around. Guess we'll settle for cleaning the mop pad and water refill ourselves

          Yes an that too. On paper S7 is nearly half the suction power compare to the other two. However from all the review I have seen it is doing fantastic job especially on hard flooring I believe due to better airflow of some sort?

          The only thing that is holding me back at the moment is the mopping function. Yes it vibrates instead of just dragging a wet cloth over the floor but the lack of self cleaning function for the mop is essentially the same as dragging a dirty cloth everywhere unless you manually take it off and give it a clean before it mops the other half of the house.

          It will be my first robovac and between this ($1.1k) and Omni ($1955 on GGC) it's about $850 diferrence. It's so hard to make a decision!!

            @Wsk: Yeah I'm considering going this one and just asking it to mop one or two rooms at once once I've worked out how dirty the mop gets.

            @Wsk: @Nigelwsk I have the S7 Max V Ultra and I can confirm mopping is decent and it goes back regularly to clean the mop pads. Otherwise you have to catch the robot every after every second room to clean the mop pad which defeats the purpose of a "automatic cleaner"

              @bez: Can you set it to vacuum and mop a room or two and just vacuum the rest of the house? I realise that you'd need to wet the mop pad when it starts and take it off and clean it after but wondering whether rotating the rooms mopped every couple of days (so each room gets mopped weekly) would achieve a reasonable result if spending an extra $1,500 for the ultra is out of the question.

                @thestig: @thestig The machine does everything for you. You do not need to prewet the mop pad, it will prewet it if you have the dock. When it is finished, it will clean the mop pad and then air dry it. The only thing you do is fill the dock with water every few cleans and empty the "very dirty" water from the dock.

    How's Mobiciti's customer support?

    I've gone through two robots in 2 years and expecting the worse - calling support to either get a replacement or have the device fixed.
