I have a gaming pc and a PS5, have absolutely no reason to buy this. But for some reason I'm so tempted into buying it…

It could make not only a good 1080p or 1440p gaming console but also an excellent 4K media player device paired with the Xbox media remote control.

    • Why not all?

  • I've been having a blast with the Turkish Xbox Gamepass Ultimate on PC and kinda tempted to get an Xbox to try out some Xbox games.

Whats the difference between this and the series X besides price point.

My PC is hooked up to my living room TV and already own 2 Xbox controllers.

Owning only Sega, PlayStation and Nintendo, This is uncharted realm for me lol

Xbox Series X can do up to 4K @ 120hz gaming. This the Xbox Series S can only do up to 1440p @ 120hz gaming. That's a difference. Don't get this if you're into 4K gaming.

However the Series S can play 4K media just like the Series X can.

    • Say no to Hardly Normal! Having said that…

Since you already have Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, why not try some of the Xbox games over using Cloud play on your PC? You can do that using Game Pass Ultimate if you didn't already know that. Xbox Cloud Play has apps for windows and Android.

No disc on this version of console so you're tied to either purchasing Microsoft keys from third parties, Purchasing via the Microsoft store or Xbox Game pass.

    • Given you are happily paying for GPU it'd be borderline silly not to get atleast this Series S. X would be preferable but the difference is overstated if you don't necessarily play the latest AAA releases imo. Multiple factors influence it though.

You want AAA games… This bad boy will cost you more than the X in no time.

Digital Games from Microsoft cost way more than physical copies from retailers.

You often find games through the Xbox store on sale for cheap.

Yeah, of course they have sales. Rarely will a sale match or beat a physical store.

In my experience I pay more 90% of the time.

This website is Ozbargin, just being real.

  • Wil microsoft online price match. Have a few amex $150 off $500

    • They will but good luck getting connected to a sales rep!

    • But it is spend at least $500 isn’t it? This is only $399? I’m keen for a good price on the X. Any better prices around apart from $799…. Stock availability is the bigger issue I’m guessing
