I have one of these that I bought during the recent 20% off eBay sale. Works really well for us.

I offered $651 on their official eBay store and then used the 22% off coupon from the previous sale, which came down to ~$508. If interested, you could try this with the current 15/17% discount which would. YMMV.

    • How is the mopping performance?

      • Not great, which is the case with most of the robots on this price range. It essentially drags a wet cloth around the floor with no oscillating/scrubbing movement.

It is good for a superficial/surface clean, and it wipes down the floor more often than we would, but doesn't replace manual mopping.

There is also no lifting function when it encounters carpet, so you'll need to take it off. You can set no mop zones in the app and it'll just vacuum around it.

Also anyone that does get this, get the bags for the dock from AliExpress, it's much cheaper.

It essentially drags a wet cloth around the floor with no oscillating/scrubbing movement.

Ergo it's mopping. If oscillation is required, then its polishing instead.

  • This, or the Roborock S5 Max? Don't care too much about mopping functionality.

Performance wise it's going to be much of a muchness from what I've seen, they're both very good on hard floors and a bit less good on carpet but still decent. Both use LIDAR for navigation without advanced object avoidance.

The S5 (and Max) are both pretty popular. The Roborock app is very good, and it does certain things better (like auto switching between maps). Roborock is probably the more tried and tested brand (both Robrock and Dreame are Xiaomi owned I think).

The D10 Plus does have the auto empty dock though, so if you think you want that, it's probably a no brainer.

  • Anyone been able to connect their robot cleaner to the dreame app? Mine (L10 Pro) didn't work and had to use the Xiaomi Home app, but the google home integration is broken on that one

    • Not sure if it's model-specific, but I have the W10 and could connect it to Dreamehome android app without any issues. I also linked it to Google Home using Xiaomi credentials. The W10 is amazing. Setting it up was easy, it mapped everything out really well and the mopping is surprisingly good.

      • @juszzy, Does the W10 auto-empty the vacuum stuff, or do you have to manually empty it?

    • I had an L10 Pro for a bit (that I returned) that didn't connect to the DreameHome app, but the D10 Plus does seem to connect.

It is showing $799 for me and the code isn't valid anymore?

    • +3

Just tried, the code isn’t working for me either

    • It worked yesterday, within couple of hours after the code was available. Probably expired.

  • Is it worth it to buy dreame l10s ultra for under $1000 in Asia ?

    • You won't be able to use it with the app in Australia though, it's geolocked. So you can use it with the buttons on the top of the robot, but not any functions of the app.

  • Code not working

I've got a Roborock S5 Max, have had it for a few years now. Quite happy with it.
However, moving forward, I think if it dies, I'll probably end up switching brands to this or something else.
Roborock local distributor has gone mental greedy and imho are pricing themselves out of the market, well unless you're super rich. Which I'm not.
Roborock, you're shooting yourselves in the foot with stupid pricing.
You're a vacuum cleaner manufacturer, not bloody Apple. /EndofRant 😁

    • I’m also considering the Roborock S5 Max as an alternative to this. Any major long term gripes you’ve had with the Roborock S5 Max?

Also, nice username. What type of metal are you into? Progressive mental / “djent” guy here.

    • I found this comment quite interesting when looking at both the Roborock and Dreame websites. They are very similar, if not the same, similar layout, same banners, same help tool tip popping up in the bottom right. I would wager that Dreame are the budget version of Roborock and are both owned by the same business.

Edit - look at both of these side by side for a good comparison. https://dreame.com.au/products/dreame-d10-plus & https://roborock.com.au/products/roborock-q7-max-plus-with-a…

      • They both have Xiaomi as major stakeholders in their companies (as a part of the Xiaomi Ecological Chain). As an example, both use the MiHome app.
