  • Pretty fast, more GB than most people need, and cheap. Nice.

    Good deal for gaming

    Now we are taking ! Cl16 32gb 3600

  • Is this significantly better than 3600MHz CL18-22-22-42?

    • +3

will you notice it, not likely unless you stare at performance, its better, but not monumentally, main benefit comes from it being better binned (sometimes)

  • Hmm, I recently (and knowingly) overpaid for non-RGB g.skill 3600mhz CL16 that I'm yet to install. It is harder to find than you would think, especially at a decent price. I might return it and get this.

Deal also available at MSY for click and collect purposes (I think they are the same company now?)

    • +1

No they are not the same company. and (in SA at least) umart is a lot worse than MSY in terms of change of mind refund, enquiries, and warranty handling.

If you do ask any questions umart people will (politely) direct you to one of their computers for you to do your own research (not a big deal for me, but definitely is for some customers of theirs when I visit).
It takes much longer to get your money back for change of mind refund at umart, so is warranty handling. They will get the job done (to a extend), but it's just not so great.

I also had a friend of friend who bought 2 sticks of Kingston value ram of the same size/model from umart that are not compatible to each other (one Nanya, one Hynix), umart refuse to refund either stick because they are opened and is not faulty (and told him just sell it on facebook or something). —- went into MSY see if they can match one stick or another, without explain that the RAM was purchased from umart, the msy sales assumes the item is from MSY and asked for invoice to refund on the spot. told the sales it's from somewhere else, the sales happily browsed through the entire shelf to find a matching stick.

      • Not sure about msy these days as i think they sold up, but they were taken to court over mishandling warranty and refunds

Never had to return anything to umart yet

        • I've read about the "court" part,

seems to be explicitly to do with MSY VIC and NSW? Guess SA is unaffected.

to whoever reported as oos, change the store location, thought this would be common knowledge about umart

  • hey what would be the drawback if I mixed this pair with a pair of LPX vengeance also 32gb DDR4 and running at 3600 CL16?

    • All other things equal, doesn’t 2 x 32GB sticks run better than 4 x 16GB sticks?

      • +1

Depends if your motherboard can handle all 4 channels being used, I suppose. Certainly would be easier to overclock on 2 sticks than 4.

    • this kingston pair is guaranteed to be dual rank (but unknown brand/make of IC)

and we don't know what you have got on your LPX either.

Moreover Kingston/Corsair have different PCB designs, which may make them incompatible with each other, even if they are using the same model/make of the memory IC.

Even if they happened to be the same make, same model of memory ICs, and they happened to be compatible to each other, you'll end up with a quad rank setup, which will be extremely hard for your memory controllers to stabilize at 3600 frequencies.

  • Going…. going… gone!
(Its ok I missed out too)

      It's still in stock?

  • Sry spoke too soon. U might get mileage outa delivered or msy options.

Thanks OP, get a pair and ready for next upgrade build for 5700x.

  • Just went to buy? Has it all gone?
